I recently splashed out and shot some Eley ammo and that stinky primer or powder. I thought it was just the way the rich elite folk stunk with all their harsh chemical brass dissolving solutions and what not. Is it healthy. Smells like burning...

Nothing wrong with dippers. I have an old Lyman 55 which seems to work well with the top slide. I haven’t had a chance to compare loads at 300 metres to verify just how good the Lyman is but short range it working well enough and consistent. I...

I started using cig papers for my 30-30 years ago. I would partially neck size the case and with bore + 1 thou. A doubled over tallyho cig paper would bring it up to 309" So they worked well being just diameter in a sloppy chamber when nestled...

Eley seems the go. Costing me 3x as much thou so I haven’t wasted any shots yet. Glad I have wasted a brick of cheaper ammo so far or there abouts. I do suffer from eye fatigue and a bit of dehydration and I get floating debri across my vision....

Yes I have put a feeler out to a bloke who lost one to a flood through his house. See how I go. His shot well after he took some of the rough out of it. Can’t remember but probably 1/2" at 50 yards. How does yours perform being a proper made...

I suppose 1.5" would be about the kill zone of an average rabbit for a head shot. Correct me if I’m wrong. It’s been a long time. So theoretically both guns should be good to go. Reality states it will probably blow out more that. But they...

I thought a good clean up and plumbers solder would be they way to go to put a matching sight base on. Or would that wreck something?

Scrounge dro’s are for girlies that can’t do math or use clocks. Not that I have ever used dro’s , but that’s what I have heard. Can’t see it helping with screw cutting. Specially to a shoulder. If you have a fancy lathe with chuck locks...

Well I would have to cut back another 6 inches from the barrel which would make it ten. Then set back least 1/2 an inch and maybe a bit more for clean crisper rifling. That just leaves a couple of small bulge-Etts near the chamber end. That is...

30 tpi is a 0.84666mm pitch. Therefore a tight 0.85 mm pitch. (1/30)tpi x 25.4 to get mm = 0.846666mm O.k pre worn thread that tightens up in the end. Yeah I’s got one of them fancy quick change boxes and the metric gear too. ...

BBMF1 What sort of accuracy you talking of? I’ll be happy if I can get this one to shoot more consistent as it only 2 small and one larger bulge in the barrel. I could chop it back more to get past the 3rd bulge but I’ll have to measure it to...
