Just watched “Gun Stories” with Joe Mantegna and he did a special on Cabot Arms making a complete set of 1911’s right and left handed. Out of my price range —- $4.5 million but interesting all the same. Check them out: ...

I agree on Remoil. It was being used at Montana Rifle Co. when I started working there. We found the same problem, dries out, and doesn't prevent rust. I converted the company to Ed's Red, problems went away.

Considering most of them you get from the bank are pretty pristine, I would sure pass on it. A panhandler lives near me, and goes to town every day to ply his trade. One day I gave him a ride to town for him to go to "work". He had the nerve to...

I am a shooter that hunts. I normal shoot about 20,000 rounds a year. I like shooting so I shoot whatever as much as I want or need. The least shot is my smokeless muzzleloader. When I first got it I shot it a lot for load development. Now it's...

I would suggest that you study a lot more before making blanket statements. Any powder can be over loaded, under loaded and misused.

My 22 Hornet would not stabilize the 55 RCBS with low speeds. Book loads of Red Dot caused tumbling at 25 yards. Push it faster with H110 and it does well.

I have a friend that doesn't reload. He couldn't find ammunition for his 338/378 Weatherby, then some showed up in 2015 for $160 a box. Yep.$8 a round. As he elk hunts only and a box lasts him 5-7 years he is OK. An old time he worked with had dies...

No argument at all with ball size, but please recognize that T/C bbl. dimensions varied more than we realize and that's probably true of other manufacturers as well. E.g., I too owned a .45cal. Cherokee and got spectacular accuracy with a .440" RB...
