IMHO, this is no time to mess around - if you are unsure, or if you want to take the safe route, pull those ten cartridges completely apart, start over, do it right. Lesson learned.

Maybe six or seven years ago I spoke at great length with the Tippmann folks for what I considered improvements with their roller design, but nothing happened on their part. For what they're offering,a Henry H015-4570 break open is a better choice...

Yep, it's a .22 rimfire but it is a lever gun! It's got a 24" octagonal bbl and the magazine tube holds 16 rounds of .22LR. The lever action is very smooth and the crisp trigger is under 3lbs. I removed all the Henry sights and added a Skinner...

Randy's is the best I've seen so far, and I've been through lots. I've emailed with Randy a few times, great guy, and have noted to him there are a few things he'd left out - slick composition ("pure" lead, or alloy lead:tin percentage) and patch...

I'd rather cast and patch my own slicks. That's all part of the PPB Way. A good read for PPBs is Randy Wright's "Loading and Shooting Paper Patched Bullets".

No offense taken or given, Sir! I did agree that there clearly was a volume difference 'tween the interviewer and Bobby, but I could easily hear and understand Bobby and Dennis' dialogue.

I think yer nit pickin', but to each their own. There's no question there is a difference in volume between the interviewer and interviewee, but I don't see it anywhere near as bad as y'all make it out to be.

I cast my own slicks for paper patching. "Slicks" are just bullets without lube grooves. I only load with real black powder, the substitutes are all a version of smokeless powder, I do not like smokeless PPB cartridges. To me, it makes the...

The downside of pretty much all DA-only revolvers, particularly the rimfire ones, is the very hefty trigger pull. That might take building up hand/finger strength. Aside from that, I dunno what could be a safer no-worry carry than a DA-only...

The Quigley Match has seen several accidents where both appear to be caused by wads over double based powder, though single base can also be a culprit. I would not wad smokeless, too risky. With black powder cartridge builds, I'll compact the...

Premium .22LR rimfire ammo has been a game changer. The Federal Punch .22LR will do 1070fps ..... out of a 2" muzzle. CCI Velociter is just as fast. Folks need to get more up to date on .22LR for CCW/EDC/SD. ...

I've moved off .45acp, .357mag, .38spl and 9mm to the lowly .22LR ... it's taken decades for acceptance and confident usage. I know, I know, it's a rimfire, and unreliable for ignition or "man stopping". I got over all that.

Yeah, my choice narrowed down real fast to between the 43C and LCR - there were good things about both, I could have tossed a coin. There was a plus or two more in favor of the LCR and that's what's been ordered ... along with a Hogue green laser...

The NAA is unquestionably a real firearm and I don't doubt for a second it's lethality and rendered due respect. IMHO the NAA is so tiny, so minuscule, that it's at least in the realm of "toy" micro size that will be harder for me to manipulate...

I don't want a "toy" NAA. A J-frame it needs to be. Lightweight is also a must. This leads me to the S&W and Ruger. I've heard some good stuff about Charter Arms, but it's hard to ignore the brand recognition and history of the two "leaders",...

I've always bought S&W or Ruger when it comes to revolvers, at least somewhat trusted brands. Dunno about NAA.

I want to get one and open to suggestions, opinions, comments. Currently looking at the S&W 317 and 43C, but also the Ruger LCR. Kinda leaning to the 43C so far.
