If the throat in your rifle is un-altered consider a mold from Tom at Accuratemolds.com which has the "Marlin Nose". Tom offers a variety of weights in such a mold. I had him do a 365 grain for me and a friend had him do a traditional 405 grain for...

I found very light 45ACP loads to be cleaner with bullseye, but medium and full spec loads in 700x to be very clean, too. It is harder to measure, having a wide rotor cavity and keeping the measure hopper full really helps.

I took quite a while to absorb and learn one single concept when working with cast bullets. It usually is not how fast we are pushing them but how much pressure our loads generate while doing so. It doesn't sound like your charge of Unique should be...

Exactly! Hard for us to comprehend that "A little white lie" is just as bad as murder, but it is.

I fully agree! He helped me to find a shellholder which had been avoiding me. You won't find any better! Rick

That will be fine. I always reduce before I start casting. I'm a ladle caster. The only disadvantage in doing it that way is that you can't duplicate the alloy exactly. Thus the benefit of mixing the casting alloy in larger batches for more...

Unless you have hazardous material training and certification you can't. I believe they also have to be in original factory container. You might post them for sale local to you for pickup. This is what most folks are doing. Good Luck, Rick

Although I haven't looked, I'm sure Tom at Accuratemolds.com has the RCBS 35-200 cataloged. I think you would want the diameter such that you could size to .360", at least I have to for my 35 Remington Marlins. Better to be a bit big than even a...

This is the gold standard bullet for the 35 Remington. I doubt you can get anywhere near 1,800 fps without a gas check. Get the gas check bullet and use them if nothing else but for insurance for your accuracy. 1,800 fps may be about the top...

Thanks everyone, and keep 'em coming. This press seems to be in very good condition and used very little. I'll have to check into the detent ball. Thanks again, Rick

Hello all, I recently purchased a Lyman all American 4-hole turret press. I have noticed the turret does not lock into position. I'm thinking about using it as a dedicated 45 ACP press which is a good thing as it came with the #2 shellholder,...
