700X works just like Bullseye and Red Dot or other powders in it's burn range for light handgun loads. Lyman Cast Handbook #4 doesn't list 700X for 44 Special but does for the larger capacity 45 Colt. Then it lists Bullseye for the Special but...

It should be runny at room temp about the consistency of chocolate milk. Because you used old dried out ingredients you should probably add more mineral spirits to thin a bit. Look up threads with Lars45's description of the consistency of 45/45/10...

I would not use a RB when exclusively small game hunting except if looking for additional challenge with a particular rifle. Most shots I've taken are less than 30 yds, many a lot less. And a 30 cal ball at 1000fps doesn't damage much meat so head...

NEKVT replied to a thread Win Model 60A Mystery? in Rimfire Area
Well it looks like they brought the M67 crown up to standards as one of the changes from M60 and carried it on from there. My M69A has a similar crown and is from late in the long run for that model. But comparing my 60A to the picture from RC I...

Yes 303Guy that would be a safe assumption but this is from Rimfire Central titled WIN_60_23_INCH_CROWN_DETAILS. BigSlug's M67 crowns probably look like this as well.

Thanks for the info. It has been my contention all along that it came from the factory like that. It had been refinished so even if it could be confirmed a rare sample of the 60A it wouldn't make much of a difference and it's not going anywhere...
