I have a Win 60A with that rear sight in the forward position dovetail cut for the regular open sight. This was my father's rifle he got as teen in the 1930's - barrel is marked "32". I had never seen another like this pictured anywhere so posted it...

Not cast but my 6mm Rem Ruger M77 Sporter 1 in 10" with 16.0 IMR 4227 80gr J bullets and no filler would put three in one hole at 50yds. Loaded for my kids when they were young.

Gave my grandson two rifles, a 1950 Savage 340 30-30 and an early 70's 10/22, so I could enjoy him enjoying them.

I'm also using IMR 4227 in my 45-70 Trapdoor hunting load. Lee 459-405-HB over 24.0gr and .75gr dacron. 1120fps from 20" barrel. Think you have to save pictures as jpg not pdf files to show as a picture.

I have two air rifle targets at my cabin. Most used is an extended doubled heavy copper wire wrapped around a sapling with a dangling string and hook to hang a soda or beer can chest height at the woods line edge. The other is a square aluminum...

Haven't read Handloader Magazine in a while but remember Brian Pearce writing he got full penetration on an elk with a 44 Special and Keith bullet at 950fps.

All I've done is make sure the existing finish is clean of dirt, oil or and wax. I don't do anything in between coats of the thinned TruOil and nothing after the 3 to 4 thin coats unless you want to dull or shine the finish different than it...

Cover the Browning finish with a few thin coats of the Truoil 50/50 and it will look like a hand rubbed oil finish instead of gloss.

I have used TruOil and Birchwood Casey Walnut stain on a number of different projects, firearms and archery. The stain is water based but is concentrated so you are not soaking the wood with water. Depending on the wood type and grain and the...

Went with 357 because I don't have a 44 and a hot, heavy for caliber load in my 1894C should handle any deer situation I'm likely to come across.

That's a bullet and powder combo I want to try in my Marlin 1894C. I have a one cavity Lyman mold and will probably dedicate some trimmed back 357 cases for it to get OAL that fits to avoid loading it too hot in 38's.

222 Rem is probably the smallest case you will find 4895 recommended for. I use H4895 in mine. The load is compressed and velocity and pressure is a bit less than the more popular powders for it but accuracy is outstanding and I always have it on...

Lee 309-200-1R feeds fine in my two Krags. It is the current hunting load in my 1898 sporter. The Lyman 311284 at about 210gr depending on alloy was designed for the Krag.
