I cast my ingots by its source because the alloy of the ingot will be close to it. And so, I have WW ingots, outdoor range ingots (from one range), indoor range ingots (mostly .22lr bullets or separate air rifle pellets), and pure lead. My outdoor...

I still use the discontinued Lee hand primer and like it. Once before I owned an RCBS hand primer, didn't like it, and sold it.

To answer some of your questions: First, wear eye protection because you don't want to accidentally add wet lead into a pot of molten lead and have it spit molten lead onto your eyes. Second, find a fan to push the lead fumes away from you or cast...

In that case, the next time I cast I'll cast a lot of the same bullet with the same alloy. Then, cull out the outliers.

After I determine an accuracy load with a specific lot of lead, how much of a change in the bhn is allowed before I lose accuracy and have to readjust my charge?

Currently, I load for 4. Three handguns and one rifle caliber. This way I can shoot one rifle testload shooting cycle and then run up to the pistol range and shoot testloads there.

I am not knowledgeable about different handgun models. Three weeks ago I brought my 14 year old daughter to the shooting range. She already has experiences shooting indoor competition air rifle. That day I handed her my S&W Model 66 and a box of...

I suppose it would good to see if the bullets will penetrate 4 jugs as you mention. If not, maybe I can switch the hollow point pins and make a 160gr flat round nose and push it for greater penetration?

I am guessing that I netted something opposite of lightman. The indoor range had this dusty black residue that was maybe the coating on .22lr bullets. There was a lot of it. The outdoor range had copper jackets that need to be scraped out. Then,...

I shot small samples of hex and round hollow points. 6.2gr AA5 worked best with the hex and speer cases, and 6.6gr AA5 worked best for the round hollow point and Fed case. Here's a photo of the 6.6gr load shot at 18 yds

I used my brass 2 cavity 9-125 hp MP mold today. I had to preheat this mold much longer than aluminum and so I tossed back a lot of wrinkled bullets. My pot temp ran hotter than when casting with my Lee aluminum molds. Bullets stuck in the pins if I...

I'm back. I have a series of testloads with seating depth problems. The first set was cast 40-170 TC Lee bullets. The seating depth varied +/- .002" and I wanted it exact. In the end, I left the variations as they were. I haven't shot these yet. The...
