I wonder if the cases will be extra reload able? I mean, if they're built for 80 kpsi, what if you loaded them at 65kpsi and just used a longer barrel to make up some of the performance? Would the cases be endurance champs?

I was going to ask if it was blasphemous to pick this. I have a small Leatherman on my keys and a big one in my backpack. They don't have the best knives, but they are good enough knives, and the other tools they bring with them are a huge...

I have been feeling under the weather for the past few days, so the usual deluge of springtime tasks are, as yet, undone. But being unable to just sit inside and do nothing, I found myself in the garage looking at a circular saw blade which had...

For something as thin skinned as a whitetail, I wouldn't think it would make a difference in a revolver. If you were using a rifle, I would recommend that you make the jump to 180gr or even 200gr, whichever the gun likes best. If I recall, the...

I am wondering how long it's going to take folks to buy a 277 Fury rifle just for the strong action and rebarrel it in something with more case capacity. It's not like the length of the cartridge really matters that much in a bolt gun if you put in...

I think sometimes husband and wife can grow together. My wife and I have learned a lot from each other, and a lot of the time that growth came from taking an interest in the interests of the other person or trying to see things from their point of...

I don't even like sending my wife to get things even when I give her specific details because there is always the possibility that there are products which meet the description but are inappropriate for the job. Without context it can be really...

This is one that I absolutely cannot relate to. There are so many gating factors for me. I could never marry a woman who was against the right to self-defense. I could never marry a woman who was so na´ve that she didn't understand the danger...

No comprehensive range report yet, the weather has been lousy today, but my 50 cal wads finally arrived and I did fire a few shots with 777. 20gr volumetric equivalent to BP felt like way too little (barely a poof) , so I ended up at 40gr...

I have used 158gr boolits to add weight to 3D printed parts for use around the house.

Oooh, thanks for the warning on the BBs, that had never occurred to me. Safety glasses it is! While I won't be making any foolish attempts to test the theory, it's comforting to hear that the action is likely to be stronger than any...

Thanks for the feedback! I was actually concerned about the shape too, but it was outweighed by my anxiety over removing too much material... I would prefer to keep it one piece of wood if possible. The plan is to shoot it and see how it feels and...

A while back I started a thread in the pistol shotshells section where I examined the performance of a large prototype 3D printed shotshell in 357 magnum, and while it certainly worked as intended (a full 1/2 oz, no problem), the dreaded rifling...

So... it's basically a necked down 308. Why do they need such high pressure? Surely standard 7.62 NATO pressures are sufficient to push those little bullets fast enough to do the job.

So what I learned from the OP is that muzzle energy doesn't matter now, and that an 8-shot 357mag really can do everything. 23oz 44mag... why are so many writers total idiots?
