Welcome Newman, the 230 will work well subsonic powder coated with H-110, 296, 1680, etc. I think my sub loads are 9g of 1680. RCBS makes a 30 cal silhouette 165 and a 180 plus a flat point 150 for lever guns.

My 444 Marlin, 1st Year production, wears a Weaver tip off mount with a matching Marlin base. The two rings are hinged to the base and each has a flat spring clamp that locks onto underside of the base, solid. You can shoot two rounds, flip the...

Tseaha, you should clean your barrel back to bright steel, removing all copper and lead, then slug the barrel to determine what size bullets you need. If anyone is going to barter with you, you want bullets that are sized to your groove diameter,...

The very first thing a cast bullet shooter should always do is slug the barrel. Slugging a barrel is a sticky on this site. There are several ways to do so and any done correctly is right VS not slugging the barrel. Right now, your target shows...

I use the CBs for cleaning critters out of my traps. The CBs are a bunch quieter than my pellet guns, used in a long barrel 22 rifle. I do not pick up live coons or possums.

I do believe every bullet caster and shooter that casts for accuracy should have a decent library of reloading manuals, and read them. After reading, put them on a shelf at arms length for reference. Make detailed notes of your reloading, keep on a...

A good clean cut and square base is the key to accuracy. The bent sprue plate should be replaced. A burr can be polished out with wet and dry on a glass plate.

I do not use 4D for anything, a friend used them, they claimed the tool was worn and wanted him to pay full price for a new tool just to sharpen it. They have your credit card, so. Buyer Beware.

Very good on the Eley target. Front to rear reverses, front is down for bullet impact up. You van make the circle targets on a computer with Word Art. The last year of production on the 510, 511 and 512 all have scope mount grooves. For that...

I would buy both if the bores are both good. Ask the owner which rifle shoots better. He may say the Martini. The Sharps will win the resale race hands down.
