Be careful, the very worse pot explosion I ever had was from a battery post, had a bit of water in it that had frozen, when it went in 100 lbs left in a bang. Decorated everything within about 75 feet, house, roof, trees, me, etc.

I did one garage door R and R, a panel door, by myself, after that, I hired the next two done. I have five roll ups on this place now, I keep them clean and lubed, but if they need an R and R, it will get hired. Three are 3” thick insulated,...

Teach them, let them be the judge of what is reasonable. One thing for sure over $2.00 a pop is not reasonable, for regular hunting ammo. And the shop owner apologized for the price but said that was all he could get.

Might as well do a new barrel on a custom Lo-wall. I have a Martini in a 222R and a 218 Bee. Both are fun shooters, not too much for casting. For cast I would probably do something larger in bullet diameter, perhaps like a rimmed 6mm or 7mmTCU...

I have a couple of 45-70 rifles and have been shooting them for a few decades. When I saw an edition of Forty Years With the 45-70, I bought it, primarily to fill a spot in my library. If you see the book for sale you might pick it up. The 45-70 is...

I do not crimp cast bullets in a rifle, and I shoot sub .5” at 100. If you want to shoot for accuracy, a few rules of the road. The first thing I do is slug my barrel to get the actual groove diameter, never guess at it. I keep all of my barrel...

I have used the 200 H&G design with 452 AA now WST for years. You can use 231 for a bit more snap, but good accuracy. I gave up on Unique because it burns so dirty, especially in practice sessions involving hundreds and hundreds of rounds. The WST...

I fix things before they break, it is the airborne way. You wait until it breaks and you get to meet the ground real quick. With a gun, it only fails when you need it. I clean dies and my guns after use.

Bushing the firing pin is fairly simple with black Lock tite. You turn the end of the firing pin down to .125 with a shoulder that stops the pin on the frame or bolt, as normal. Then drill the bolt face with a flat end mill bit to accept a .250...
