Ha ha, proper scope mounting... Years ago I had a coworker who took his rifle to a gunsmith to get something done on it. Maybe related to the story, I just can't remember. Anyway he took his rifle and scope to the gunsmith and the gunsmith looked...

Fully cooking might not kill a prion. It can survive 200įC (392įF) for 2 hours. I don't want any meat that over cooked and the prion will still be active. Pretty good article about them. It'll ask you to accept cookies, but it can be read and not...

OK, it takes place around Christmas, but definitely not a Christmas movie. It is an action movie and I don't remember it dealing with Christmas.

Just for reference, check out what the .32/20 load was back in the day. I acquired a .32/20 barrel in a group buy and wanted to know what t was good for. 100 years ago (I hope I'm remembering this correctly) they pushed a 90 grain lead bullet near...

The only thing I don't like about ours is when I cook something that will spatter. Our's is built like a toaster broiler and I hate cleaning it. So I pick and choose what I use it for. So I don't get full use out of it.

Congrats! What a shame about the first one. Just chalk it up as a learning experience, no one is perfect. Something made use of it.

I use metal and it works. I'm too cautious to use anything else due to the intense heat.

Yup, the Turkish coffee mills are for use in the hand. We have one at the table with B' pepper in it and a few near the range top for use in cooking filled with black pepper and other peppers.

I'm with you Mary! I love a black and blue steak. I've been known to lay a steak directly on the burning lump charcoal. And I ALWAYS put the steak as close to the burning lump as possible if not directly on it. I've also been known to put it on...

Precisely. Age also plays a huge factor in recovery. I was 66 when I had mine and the nurses told me that I'd recover rapidly and go home in just a few days. I had the surgery on a Tuesday and was in the car and on the way home noonish on Saturday....

We've used Turkish Coffee Grinders for years. They last and last and yes, they'll put out lots of pepper. Not a wimpy grinder at all. We've had ours for over 30 years and they're still going strong and they get lots of use. Ours is NOT the...

I'm using WW296 (aka H110) to push a Maker 85 to 2300 fps out of a 10" barrel. It works fine. But I wouldn't use it for subsonic loads. It would be totally unsuited for that unless it was (maybe) in a manually operated action. Even then it wouldn't...

Dittos, good luck with it. But it must be done. Your heart muscle must get it's oxygen to work. FWIW, I had no pain meds and was on the lightest of them only to, as the nurses told me, "to have something in me if I needed them later.". They did...

Excellent. As Jack O'Connor taught me in his writings, a proper buller placed properly gets the job done. A close to subsonic bullet that doesn't expand has gotten the job done for 300 years. Well done! edit: Just curious, if you found the bullet...

Could'a been a poacher, could'a been legal, Could'a been a cross bow too. I have one that sacrifices sound for speed. My neighbor 100 yards away can hear it. Also could'a been a suppressed rifle. I guess we'll never know. But when I was hunting...
