Optically, the old -B Weavers and later were very good when new and even today in mint condition they are surprisingly good by todays standards. The issue is many of these older scopes suffer from lenses separation and or cement degradation that...

I was incorrect. If it had a serial number that was legally removed pre 22 October 1968 it became illegal on the 22nd of October 1968. The only two options I can see is purchasing a lower tang with a serial number or requesting that the ATF...

It just needs to be recorded as pre 1968 with no serial number. If he cant tell the difference between a japchester and an original he should be in a different business.

Good Thread I inherited a small tub of Lee dies that I cannot figure out what they do. Lee designs work but better identity would really help.

Yes, Hollywood-specific and other shell-holders are readily available on ebay. Hollywoods are made to closely fit the holes in Hollywoods, while other makes may be small and move around. I own both. The true Hollywood in the biggest one. The...

Not understanding the difference between a simple feud and being attacked by a culture that killled 3,000 innocent US citizens and wants the total golobal destruction of non- Muslim cultures at best is more than a little myopic. I will NEVER...

Not saying this is the issue with this but in my 45/70's with 300 grain HP's if I push them hard I get the same lack of accuracy. You can see lead dust on the target at 25 yards so for me it's an over spin issue. The none HP bullets of the same...

Borescopes are useful and can locate some serious issues not seen by looking through the bore. Case 1: I have a Stevens Visible Loader that I brought home 3 weeks ago with a good crown and a clean, shiny bore. But the 6 inches in front of the...

Iksmith, it could be, this one is dirty and a bit rusty, but the bore is excellent. My one trip to the range showed it is capable of some fine shooting, far more accurate than I can see the sights. Ken

As an accumulator of vintage 22's this going to be a fun thread to follow and try to emulate. The iron sight issue has confined me to 25 yard plinking, though the recent purchase of a Lyman Sight Pal will change that. There's one month left in...

I shoot a lot of 45/70 and 45 Colt in Trapdoor Springfield's and Colt 1873's. Both are low pressure firearms and need to be loaded according. I also shoot the 45/70 and 45 Colt in a Boltguns/Strong Single shots and the 45 Colt in a 454 Casull...

LEE's 155/160gr Spirepoint designs as well Ideal's 311412 (150) and 311413 (170) work well in my AR10 in 308Win. PC coats and I can run them up to 2500fps with no issues.

R F Wells press was the manufacture. Herter's and R F Wells had a falling out but I don't remember the details well enough to repeat it. R F Wells was based in Wells Minnesota.

Senior Turret is worth what you can get for it. All Hollywood tools have some type of cult appeal that raises the price. That said, $300/$500 on eBay. Hollywood powder measure, hard to see but looks like 1st model would be about $125/$150. Three...

Which Hollywood press do you have? How long is your primer punch? Different models use different punches. Watching eBay may be your best bet. They are out there, but can be hard to find.
