I worked Corrections in AK for 20 years. Our quals used an ipsc target scoring 5 points for A zone 3 for C and 1 for D. Ranges were from 2 to 25 yds with time ranging from 2 sec for 2 rds at 2 yds to 20 sec for 6 rounds at 25yds. Time started with...

There was a science fiction 1 hour or so movie about Oil Eating "bugs" back in the late 1970's if I remember correctly. Basis was that they succeeded in lab creating an oil eating bug to clean up oil spills. The bug "Got Loose" (Reminds me of an...

No guns in the house. Not a problem. Keep them in a safe in the garage. Then when he wants to shoot she can go to the range with him or stay home.

I did corrections for 20 years. We worked 7 12s on days then had a week off and then 7 12s on nights. I switched institutions and they gave some positions straight nights or straight days. I got lucky and got one of the straight night positions for...

Ammo for my 416 Rem is as cheap as $6 per round to $12 per round. Fortunately I don't have to buy factory ammo or powder, primers or boolits.

I have 3 MKI T Rugers and a MKII std. All have shot any 22lr I have tried in them without problems but my S&W 17 does the same. I have only owned one 10/22 and after trying 5 or 6 different brands of ammo the best patterns were about 2" at 25yds. I...

My mistake. I use the Lyman 257420 gc and lube with WW is 73 gr. I also bought a Lee mistake mold. It's a 50gr 6 cav that was cut to 257 instead of 252 for the 25 auto. I haven't had a chance to work out a load for them yet and it's not looking good...

I use the 257460 and 9.5 grs of 2400 for 1950 fps. I use that load in both a Savage 23 and a Win 92. That is about as fast as I can push it without losing accuracy. The 25/20 is my favorite small game round and kills very well without exploding...

I order my tires online and get them shipped to my door. Then I mount and balance them myself. Saves quite a bit over going to a tire shop.

I have molds from Lyman, lee, rcbs, NOE and even an old winchester. The only molds that don't do what I expected were the Lee bore riders. I have three or four and all have bore rider noses that are too small, from .002 to .005 to small. All Lee...

Yes. For those who served it becomes obvious quickly - for those who have not served; not so much. Some are very polished Con-Artists.

I learned to drive a 1942 Jeep MB at about 14 years old. The clutch wasn't too bad but taking off on a steep hill was a learning experience. Dad was driving and stopped on a fairly steep hill, got out a switched places with me and said ok lets go....
