There's also some discussion of 45-110 here: https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?450065-Rockchucker-press-good-for-45-70-and-45-110-Source-45-110-load-data I posed a question about using 45-90 data in a 45-110 and no one responded....

Read a recent thread where someone was looking for (I thought) data for 450/400. Can't find the thread, but figured I'd post the link here hoping the OP would find it. I found this, then couldn't find the original thread to link this ancient...

15meter replied to a thread Basic 45-70 cast load in Cast Boolits
Haven't found a rifle yet that doesn't like the 457122. 45-70, 458 Win Mag, 450 Nitro Express and the 450 Black Powder Express have all shot very well with it. Big draw back is the single cavity because of the Lyman hollow point design. Upside...

Care sharing how you converted to 209? I've fooled with it a little bit and I'm curious how you did it. Did you have any pitfalls to be avoided?

If it was only bent slightly you weren't trying, we had one on the farm the handle was bent enough we had to keep getting bigger diameter pipes to fit over it. 36" pipe wrench takes a fair amount of oomph to bend the handle. Although now that...

Looks like all that is left is the 264 brass and the 30 caliber bullet puller. Can't edit the original post to note that the Dillon and the 300 Savage are Looooooooong Gone!* Somebody? Anybody? *Ernie Harwell's favorite saying when a...

Nobody chiming in if it's a good idea or not? I've got 45-90 data going back to, I think 1941. Would post it, or at least photo's of the loading manuals if it's oky doky to use 45-90 data for start loads for 45-110.

Not on the bullet, but I had mice eat a bunch of wax. I was given 20-30 lbs. (or more) of old candles, unknown to me if they were paraffin or beeswax colored, un-colored. Melted them all down and poured them into bread pans to conserve space. ...

The difference between the 45-90 and the 45-110 is just length of case right? No major case shape differences? Would 45-90 loads be a good starting point? Kind of like shooting 44 special loads in 44 Mag cases. That gives a lighter load without...

We always called it a monkey wrench. Still have the small one around here somewhere. Big one was used with a 4 foot pipe to tighten the square nuts on the axle on the 22' tillage disk. 36" pipe wrench with a 36" pipe slid over the handle on the...

Loaded 8 test rounds. 4 each with 5744 and Trail Boss for a Rigby 350 #2. Trying 400/360 Purdey brass, it's got a thinner rim. Hopefully the rifle will close completely and fully lockup. The 9.3x74R brass I initially used has a thicker rim...

For me, right above that I have a mailing address then above that, 5 clickable banner ads on two lines.Castpics is one of the choices. Weird. Can't figure out how to take a screen shot on this tablet. If I could I'd post it.

Try explaining running shoes that have battery operated lights in the heels. Every time you take a step the light flashes. One trip with those was enough.:roll:

And should have added that pistol weight bullets/boolits for the reduced loads help with the regulation.

45-70 ought to work, knew a dude who used 338 Win Mag with a light cast load. He claimed he waited for them to be on the back side of a 2-3" branch. You know, the kind where you saw fur on both sides of branch. Center up the branch and pull the...

If you can get 5744 or Trailboss, you can work up some pretty nice plinker loads. Both have formulas for reduced loads. I've done it for a fair number of big bores and it's worked way better than it has a right to. I've done 470, 450, 450/400,...

I've got single shot and clip fed bolt action 22's, clip fed and tube fed semiautomatics. I'll shoot everything from CB caps to the fastest in any of them. If the action doesn't open on a semiautomatic, is it any different to pull the charging...

Finally looked up the difference between the big nitro express cases and the 45-110. The 450/470 N.E. measure out at 3-1/4". The 45-110 is a puny 2-7/8". Ought to fit.
