A 336 CB in .38-55 would be nice, maybe in a few years Davidson's will offer some nice variations like in the past.

I ordered 30 chicks after returning from the store with $5 eggs, that was during the Spring of 2020 while there was talk of coming lock downs. After attacks by a dog, possums, coon, and hawks, there are less than half left. This summer when they get...

I bought a project No 4 last year and found out parts are not in everybody's junk boxes anymore. Found one at Liberty Tree Collectors, it hurt for a bit, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

I have had that problem with a Lyman 450, and a 4500, both were bought used and apparently worn out. They have noticeable slop in the ram. Have never noticed any wear like that in my old 45's. Does your 45 have any binding issues, I suppose the...

Remember to not drive out the magazine tube ring, put a dowel in it and give it a quarter turn. That little plate covering the action bar, slides out foreward, it has a slight dove tail. And the little screws on top of the breech block like to...

Is there a little flat spring like guide on top of the chamber, that keeps the cartridges from stovepiping? Mine was missing something, and some times didn't feed well. I just used it in the pighouse with rat shot. It dissapeared, I must have...

No 9 is a Winchester 9422, made from the early 70's to mid 2000's, and in my opinion the best .22 lever ever made. And yes I have a Marlin and a Browning, very good, but not a Win 9422. Rifle # 10 is an older Win 94 carbine. Lot's of eye candy...

I salvaged some flake powder from some Turk 1944 8x57, and thought it was rumored to be close to 3031. After using it in a .250 Savage, I felt it built pressure quickly, and decided to only use it for .30 cal and 8mm. I think Larry Gibson...

Learned of reloading by reading about it in old gun books and magazines. I bought a Lee Loader, a pound of 2400 powder, and Hornady 100 gr short jacket bullets and started loading, using Lee's instructions. It was for my first centerfire rifle, a...

Just load your 10 guage double with silver dimes, and give your werewolf both barrels. Then tell him "You can keep the change"

I'd try using a cordless drill and start drilling with a long 3/8 or bigger twist drill bit, to identify just exactly where the metal is. Once you find it, cut through your holes with a hand saw , so you don't ruin any more chains.

Update on Krag. I shot a few jacketed bullets to see if it would group, and maybe loosen up some of the old crud in the barrel, then another good cleaning. The mild jacketed made a good group, so next I tried some cast. One load of 17.5 gr...

It really needs an effective barrel heat shield and bayonet lug, also an AK style safety would be appropriate.

I have the 311644 version, and find it an accurate bullet in 06 and 30-40. Not sure if the grooves help with accuracy, but they don't drop from the mould very well, and I don't find myself casting them very often. I believe the newer version is...
