It is true that if you order from LBT it will tak some time. I have ordered 3 at different times over the past few years. Most recently the wait was 4 months (received in February 2021). Veral claimed to have had Covid during that time and a...

I'm only part way through my coffee today, but these two items seem to be mutually exclusive. The former implies a unique number for each pair, but the latter implies a common number fir all halves in a batch. I'm curious too. Anyone with a...

If it were me, I'd take a chronograph and meausre the original load (assuming that a few cases are still on hand). Then I'd reduce the start charge in the new case and do ladders. Run those ober the chronie until comparable results arrive. That...

Congrats on acquiring an excellent press. Hopefully you'll be able to track down some die plates. Have you checked with RCBS directly? EDIT: RCBS still lists them on their site with a "notify me" option. Maybe they are still doing occasional...

Congrats on the great results! Looks like you're dialed in. Coated cast, No. 9 and a Glock 20 -- makes for a happy day at the range!

Sounds nifty! I would love to see a pic of the stations that you describe (but admittedly I'm having trouble visualizing what is described!).

The lathe trimmers will cut more consistent lengths. No question. That's how I do my lower volume rifle brass. I have found that without a way to square the chamferring and de-burring tools concentrically with the case, and a way to dead stop the...

Have you measured cases coming out of a Giraud Trimmer? Well, the results speak for themselves. Even my lathe-type trimmer has a bit of variability. The de-burring and chamferring process introduce introduce further length and case mouth...

My trim length variations are minimal, maybe 3 thou total variation on the extreme, even with the preponderance of range pickup brass. You are correct that it directly correlates to the degree of shoulder bump. As mentioned in my post, the Rock...

I started with Lee trimmers. Then an RCBS Trim Pro (better but still tedious). Enter the Giraud Tri-Way trimmer. Trim, de-burr and chamfer in mere seconds. I can do a lot of them in an hour. Here it is coupled to an inexpensive bench grinder. Very...

Those look nice. I like the color. I too have evolved to hotter/longer times. Longer hurts nothing. In fact, when heat treating, I coat, cure, size, then back in the oven for an hour before quenching. PC works great! Smoke's powders are excellent!

I'm with Burnt Fingers on this one. I have personally measured probably 10,000 auto-loading handgun case lengths after reasizing because I was very anal in my early days. Not one of them grew past max length and they universally got shorter with...
