The thing I remember being discussed the most were the 38 Special loads. One guy on THR or TFL, I think, said he literally blew a model 10 up. One thing that shocked me was the 70,000+ PSI pressure rating after they tested some of the loads. I...

What Speer manual and page is the warning about the Speer 8 data on? I was trying to warn a guy about using the maximum loads, but he doesn't believe me. I thought it was in Speer 10, but I can't find it. Sent from my SM-A515U using Tapatalk

The S&W Models 30 and 31, and the Colt D-frame in .32 Colt New Police are great for anyone with small hands. I wish we could convince Black Hills or Buffalo Bore to factory load the Hornady 85-grain XTP with 9 grains of LilGun to approximate .32 H&R...

I wish that somebody would invoke a Voodoo curse on all those old Lyman handbooks which say to "size bullets top the groove diameter of your barrel" and REDACT them!

My experience with .58 rifle - muskets is dated and based upon shooting originals and not repros. My gut feeling is that the faster twist barrels are predicated upon firing lighter target loads at short range inside 100 yards in N-SSA competition....

Interesting, when I did the 43-200QL it was for a neighbor here in West Virginia shot in an 1889 manufacture date 1873 Winchester with tight chamber neck at .444inch, but .435 groove diameter. Rifle all original with factory letter and coal wars...

I use Accurate 31-100T in both the 7.62x25 and .30 Carbine with 7.4 grains of AutoComp. Most accurate loads in my 1953 Polish TT and Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine. Also cycles my Inland US Carbine and drops cases at my feet.

It will be worthwhile to check your cylinder throats with gage pins. Both of my S&W .32-20 Hand Ejectors have .314-.315 cylinder throats and .312 barrels. They lead less and are more accurate with as-cast, unsized bullets of .314+ In my...

In my experience a slight bevel base reduces "cupping" of the base in heavy loads, and reduces leading, because you avoid the thin wire edge of a sharp corner being exposed to the hot powder gases, which has less heat capacity than a bevel base. ...

As FYI Winchester Model 70 prior to 1942 in 30Govt06 had clip slot receiver whereas postwar only had clip slot on Match rifles. The Model 54 in '06 had clip slot receiver.

Consider Accurate 31-081H, works great in most .32 ACP with 2 grains of Bullseye or TiteGroup.

Subsonic is fine to 200 yards and more accurate because you are not fighting transonic buffeting as velocity decays below the speed of sound. Less wind deflection also.

No, it's a six-lug, rear locker in .22 LR which looks like a Remington 788 which shrunk in the washing machine. Converted to centerfire, made new bolt head, fitted M16 extractor, relined and rechambered.

No wierder than my .32 ACP Remington Model 580. Longer barrel is MUCH quieter. I went 22 inches with my .32 ACP.

I have two Accurate 230-grain molds I use in the .44-40. I mostly use 6 grains of Bullseye, but also have good results with 17.5 grains of IMR4227 or 24.5 grains of RL7
