I started playing with cast in 380 . A buddy picked up a 2 cavity Lee mold that has been discontinued that drops a 115 gr round nose at around .357 so that's what I have been using . They clump together pretty good up close but hit several inches...

toallmy replied to a thread Sizing in Cast Boolits
If you have a case that was fired out of your rifle and NOT resized try slipping a cast boolit sized at .311 in the case of it slides in the mouth of the unsized case you can shoot it out of your rifle safely .

Over the last 10 years or so I have been using herco & steel when loading heavy shot shell loads because of the lack of blue dot . It seems the company is more interested in making new powders than the older dependable powders .

To much lube shows up when it builds up in your sizing die causing lube dents in the shoulder . The fix is taking apart your sizing die and cleaning it .

Several years ago in my searching I ran across a used 20 gage 500 with both smooth and a rifled slug barrel for the cost of a slug barrel , I have never regretted purchasing it . I doubt you will either

What mold did you cast your boollits with ? If the boollits do not have a gas check shank you can't put a ( standard gas check ) on it , but some people use a ( plan base gas check ) on boollits designed without a gas check shank .

Probably a good idea to pull the resizing die apart and clean it , and use less case lube .... Also it wouldn't hurt to check to make sure that you don't mix up you're dies
