I run a RCBS mold, from a member here, throws a .460-.461 boolet about 420 gr. seems to do fine in my micro groove 1895.

Short answer- NO. You are talking about the Before Times. "It" will never go back to what it used to be with price or availability.

Militaries of the world figured this out quite a while ago. The modern world got caught up in scopes and optics and forgot. The aperture- peep sight- system with a fine, flat top square post front sight of a specific width, paired with a rugged...

Handled a cimaron carbine at a LGS today. Appeared well made, nicley fitted, and overall a quality rifle. Also handled a 20" winchester 94, a newly manufactured model. Was..OK. my jets were cooled due to the safety, and the appearance of the...

Hey, thanks Davidmagnum! Thats just the type of information i was looking for. Ive got a line on an 80's Winchester, if that falls through (more than likely to) I'm going to take another look at the Cimarons as a shooter. Impressive shooting too!

Veeman, what diameter boolit did you end up going with? I been shooting 94's quite a bit over the last few years and they have grown on me. Also like the Marlin cowboys but the lean 94 profile has won me almost 100% over..

Yes, ive read that through a few times. These have been on the market a few years, seems like there is not much info on them though. I want a shooter, not a wall hanger and would like to verify that before i plunk down my money.

Several searches reveal very little information on the Cimaron 1894 here. This is a surprise to me, as i figured that a few people would be loading and shooting them. Short story is i have a hankerin' for a 38-55, for hunting, shooting and...

Glad to see Ruger is making them. I like the shorty versions, but what i really want is a cowboy in 45-70, and 38-55
