The Creedmore is just what you think it is. For a average hunter who never shoots super long range the high BC bullets don’t help them do anything a similar sized cartridge will do. Jedman

I load a oddball round for a antique rifle that uses a cut down 45-70 case , the rim dia. turned smaller and a single .457 round ball loaded on top of black powder and a felt wad. If you can get your load collum to where the powder , wads, and...

I donít know what the OD of your loaded shell is but I think if you had any sizing dies in the 243 - 358 size you could remove the neck sizing stem and the shoulder in the sizing die would make a hybrid taper/ roll crimp. You didnít mention how...

You are correct sir ! It is a Allen & Wheelock and it is serial number 68 so I believe it’s a early rifle. I also have a Ethan Allen & Co. rifle that looks very similar but it is a 44 cal. and it is a bit heftier has a circular line where the hammer...

USCRA 112, I would get a picture of the D bit but I seemed to have temporarily lost it. I moved some things yesterday and must have dropped it at some point ? The cutting portion of the cutter looks like a upside down top hat shape, the main...

Remington M 17A’s are great guns. I had one back in the 70’s that was in really rough shape but it ran smooth as silk. I used to shoot skeet with it and it was sweet shooter. I don’t know why I ever sold it ? Jedman

I recently started converting 32-20 brass to rimfire for a rifle chambered in 35 Allen. The way I machine the hole for the blanks is, first I used a wood block that is the same length as my drill vice is wide and drilled a 11/32 hole in the center....

That is a very interesting rolling block. It is different in so many ways that I wouldn’t have a clue where it was made. Quite a find ! Jedman

Last fall I ran into a rifle I had to buy. It’s a near mint Sears M 53 which is a Winchester M 70 in 30-06. I have seen these with hardwood stocks but this one has a walnut stock and had a vintage Weaver V 9 scope on it for under $ 300. The scope...

I was looking at that exact rifle several times and came very close to buying it. I am very fond of 50-70’s and was thinking of rechambering it and making a carbine of it but after seeing more clearly I have way to many projects started and in...

I would think to get a long enough blank for a 38-55 and get it threaded, chambered, have all the dovetails and extractor cuts made, sights and bluing done you would have close to the price of a replacement rifle in it. If you can do most of the...
