Thank you Wrideout. I will try loading those 100 gr PC'ed Boolits with starting at 5.0 gr of Unique. From what I have seen , my Chinese Pistol just doesn't seem as durable as other Tokerevs like the Russian , Romanian or CZ's And it is always...

I checked the full case capacity on the 7.62x25 with unique. It is around 9.3 gr. The 100 gr cast Boolits are very long and have to be seated deep. So with a lesser load , you will still be showing some compression of the powder. I have both the...

I got my late friends Chinese Tokarov from his estate sale. When he had it, I cast him up some 100 grain linotype Boolits sized to .309 and Powder Coated. There were some rounds in the box that he had loaded with there Boolits. But no loading...

If that is Curley Maple, Then it was probably stained with Aqua Fortis and dried with heat to bring out the curls. Plain Maple is done with a Rope or cotton string to apply the stain, to make it look like Curley Maple.

Back when I used the Spectracide Stump Remover for my KNO 3. I would put it in a pan and boil it in distilled water. Then let it dry into the Crystals again. I would break them up and grind the crystals back into fine powder.

I too have had best success with the Sierra 174 gr match in my 28/30's and 1891. I have never tried that bullet that you mentioned. Because why spend extra money on something when you have something that works great.

I’m with Ed, no reason it won’t work, you’re just using a different form of energy to get the mold hot. The hot plate with electric wont melt the aluminum and don’t think gas would either.IMHO.

I use H48 which is basically what the Prime all compound makes. I just mix the prime all by Weight. Not by scoop volume as prime all instructions say. The Scoop ratios work, but not as well as mixed by weight. I also make up FC 42 which is made...

I by chance got higher density up to 95 % by a mistake. I made a bunch of pucks out of 1/2 lb of powder. I mistakenly grabbed the wrong batch , and broke up pucks that were not dried more than 4 hours in the recent cold weather. I crushed the...

I will never use them again - ordered a scope, and they ignored clear directions on how to ship it. It ended up taking a tour of the Western seaboard for over a month before it ended back up at Optics Planet. They asked me if I wanted them to...

I have the HF 20 ton press. I can't say that it is better than the 12 ton since I never had the 12 ton. But my compression capabilities are much higher. I haven't got as high as 95% compression ratio yet. But I am not spending all my time...

I would be interested in one in 5.56mm, which is on the list, but it won't looks as close to the original. I have heard this particular version is more visually "off" that the GSG 22lr STG44, (which my son is quite fond of), but fewer and fewer...

I actually made the bore lapper out of a 8/32 rod coupling. Yes they are hex outside. I screwed it on a 8/32 bolt. Put it in my poor man's lathe. ( Electric drill motor in my vise ) Then I just filed it down while spinning to .304 dia. Then...

My wood piston was made out of 3/4" thick Oak. I cut out three discs. When I glued them together , I made sure that the grain in each was not matched up to the one next to it. That strengthened it so it wouldn't split. The shovel handle was too...
