Back in the golden days of “cruffling” I would construct an electric bore cleaner to clean up the really nasty rifles. Sounds like this is your ticket. Google electrolysis bore cleaner.

Yes likely, 452423 was the Elmer design for the 1917 45ACP revolver. I believe it was right around that weight and was a little lighter than his .45 colt design. I've been keeping my eyes open for one of these and they are few and far behind.

It could be one of the older Kimber custom's. IIRC, Kimber got its start 'sporterizing' Swedish Mausers.

OverMax, Did you ever try to develop a WC860 non-duplex load in 30-30? I've got quite a bit of WC872 for use in 30-06, but it would be great if I can load it for 30-30 as well.

Aluminum molds are notorious for absorbing oil and taking a long time for it to cook out. I would recommend a soak for a few days in denatured alcohol, Coleman fuel (white gas) or Gasoline. Then wipe down with paper towel and try it. The 2 stroke...

Lead is out there still, we just have to be creative in finding it. Make friends with plumbers, whenever they remove lead pipe ask them to give you a call. Make friends with roofers, roofing lead is nice and soft.

When Sears was purchased by K-Mart it was the beginning of the end. I wasn't a fan of SBD tools, but I do have to say that they've recognized that USA made Craftsman is important. I'm keeping my mind open and waiting to see the tools in person...

Craftsman is now owned by Stanley Black & Decker. For all of us USA made tools fans, good news is on the horizon. They've built a new production facility outside of Fort Worth Texas to manufacture hand tools in-house, in the USA. Harbor...

That seems to be about average. Last time I saw some locally they were $10 per 100, plus tax. Brownells had some about a week ago, I got some CCI 41's for $94 per 1k, and CCI SPP were 200 for 2k, w/ a $75 Brownells gift card. Not too bad, and...

I have a Lyman Mag 25 and I really like it. It replaced a leaky Lee 4-20 and I much prefer it. A separate PID is nice, but I can't stand the cobbled together contraptions. I like that the Mag-25 is clean and simple-plug it in and wait for it to...

I really like the 3BR, I purchased it with both inserts so I've not tried to make due with only the large one or the small one. The only upgrade I've made and heartily recommend is the Dram Worx pyrex powder hopper. It increases capacity quite a...

For the most part yes. Elmer stated in sixguns that he used 1:16 for magnum loads, and 1:20 for everything else. Antimony and Copper are good for making boolits hard, but hard isn't neccesarily what we are after. Lead/tin alloy offers a tough to...

I've had a chrono surprise, but never one like that. My first attempt at loading 45ACP using Ramshot True Blue resulted in 11-1200fps loads with 230gr FMJ j-bullets. Needless to say, I didn't believe it and ran a few more over the chrony to make...

Yes. I have a 3BR with both of the inserts. The one you linked is handy for throwing smaller charges of powder, like W231.

Keep your eyes open, chances are you'll be able to acquire some more 4064 before you run out. I was down to my last 200 SRP. Enter Brownells last week with them in stock. While things aren't common, they aren't unavailable. Some people say that...

“A 1 shot group” 3 is the absolute minimum. Too high a probability that something was off to adjust for just 1 shot.

It should be noted that the OP is using the Redding neck expanding and flaring Die. This is the same as Lyman’s M-die.
