For my buddies OM I sold him a small diameter 3118 (Lyman 32-20) that was dropping them about .310. Too small for my colts chambered in 32-20. I later found that mold that dropped them at .312-313. He is firing a moderate load of unique or 700X. ...

Value questions are best answered by finding 3 or more completed auctions on gunbroker. The latest trend for Rugers in SASS is the new vaqueros with the smaller colt sized frame. Certain cowboy guns are still in pretty high demand. Congrats on...

Yep, we shot the new model in cowboy matches with 32-20 and a .310 diameter lead bullet. Currently 32-20 brass and ammo is very hard to find for a reasonable amount.

How about contacting Ruger about just sending them the cylinder? Why should someone pay someone else to correct this?

Try a different brand of 22 ammo and see if it still has the issue.

This bullet is intended for 36 cap and ball revolvers. Has anyone used it as a heeled bullet for loading 38 short colt? If not, has anyone used the conical bullet from the 2 cavity brass molds for 38 short colt? Thanks

Possibly a couple of things. 7.1 grains with a 255 grain bullet is the Winchester factory loading. So your under max. but not that much. Almost all modern dies undersize 45 colt for .451-452 bullets, so the brass has a bit more expansion to do...

If above isn’t enough brass, let me know. I believe I may have 100 range pic ups.

I love Lyman’s 350 gr. FP bullet intended for the 45-75 with about 14.5 unique for my 1895 sporter ( pistol grip, 1/2 tube and 22” barre) along with my H&R repro officers model trapdoor. About 1300 fps and it rings steel at 200 easily. Not bad on...

I believe few experience issues with the 336, 444 and 1895 because most ammo is loaded close to recommended OAL or Max OAL. Cowboy shooters especially .357 and 44 mag run shorter ammunition such as common 38 special cases. AND few of the 336...

Simply by asking what to expect and do, is a big step. Lived my first 25 years in Minot and Grand Forks. I think it was the winter of 81-82 in Grand Forks the OAT didn’t get above 0F for over 30 days. Finally had a fuel injected vehicle my last...

Thanks for posting. I think a lot of us AND Marlin didn’t know about Marlin issues until we ran them in SASS. And many thanks to Ruger if they address those issues on production guns. Even if someone never does cowboy action, it’s good to know...

A few years ago, I had a range day with my Colt New Frontier 7 1/2” 44 special. I had standard 44 special loads at about 750 fps, skeeter loads at 950 and Kieth loads at about 1100 or more. I had a metal target at 50 and about 125 yards. I...

Yep, lee 452-200 RF or Lyman 454190 ( 250 gr.). The Lyman bullet has so much neck tension that crimping on the ogive doesn’t allow the bullet to be pushed into the case when I have a full magazine tube full (10 rounds).
