a couple Dillons with my RL450s which I don't use anymore. Five or six RCBS Uni-flows and two Hornady Case Activated Powder Drops. The Dillons kept gumming/hanging up when using fine ball powder. The Uni-flows are crazy accurate for me.

off subject but these are what I use. different size aperture for pistol versus rifle. I bought both and use them on different shooting glasses so I don't have to screw around getting them in the right spot. Proper sight picture gets difficult if...

if you have a smart phone you should be able to access this calculator: http://www.weatherby.dk/bhn.htm select even amounts of clip-on and stick-on should be close enough. if you can't I got: 0.38% tin, 1.5% antimony, 98.13% lead equals 10.09...

Not to immediately get off topic, but I must ask. Dead soft lead is presumably free/nearly free of antimony. Besides simply cooling the boolits for immediate handling what does your water quenching accomplish?

Yep, I got a few bad bricks of Winchester Large Rifle in 2014 and Winchester stepped up and was willing to replace rifle bolts and of course all the primers with that lot number. These were piercing along the edge of the cup and no where near the...

https://leeprecision.com/bullet-casting/bullet-sizing-kit This big red thing doesn't fit under the handle and modifying the push stub is more effort than just using my RC or old Lee three hole turret.

Well there is one or two things that just can't be fixed...I can not use my RCBS collet bullet puller with this press or the Lee push through type bullet sizers. I am of course assuming you haven't made a hack for these as well. LOL

a hack to shorten the throw for short pistol cartridge's is hardly fixing it. I'm not aware of many presses out there that allow the press's top to bottom throw to be adjusted for different cartridge lengths.

JimKirk, I really like your suggestion. I did polish the point on mine and I tried raising it for the shorter stroke as I had seen suggested somewhere but without the collar stop. I didn't like the lack of a solid stop for fear of damaging the...

welcome to the form. no hands on with the Ammomaster, but why wouldn't it work on shorter/smaller calibers? No doubt the long stroke would get old for the more standard calibers. I have an RCBS A2 which has a longer handle for power/swaging, so...

when new I knocked the sharp leading edges off the slot the die lock rings slip into. I only use aluminum split rings. Probably not an issue but I worried the use of sloppy steel rings would worry out or gouge the cast iron slot.

welcome to the forum Bill. I've encountered the same problem without resolution, but have wondered if it was a case of not using the right expander and the brass wasn't allowing the boolits to seat uniformly. Depending on your alloy the seating...

I gotta ask, "did the scrap yard reject them in person or over the phone?" If you called them and used the wrong words to describe your scrap would explain a lot. Hard to imagine them rejecting a bucket full of obviously smelted/burnt jackets.
