Excellent for all Outpost75 mentions. Additionally I'll add the 7.62x39 with 110 - 125 gr jacketed bullets. Use 22.5 to 23 gr. With 123 gr AK/SKS bullet of .310/.311 diameter it equals milsurp velocity and pressure.

I suggest Bullseye. Start at 4 gr and work up in 1.2 gr increments to 6.5 gr. No filler or wad should be used.

I thought an 8500 btu was the maximum, since that was the biggest I could get about 10 years ago when I installed one in my insulated garage. Fast forward to this year and it finally went out. It had always been a bit undersized and I was amazed...

I'm not so sure about the advice to taste it before you buy it. The store might have an issue with that. :) But I've had the same experience. Most of the new sauce flavors aren't anywhere close as good as some of the gold standards.

There is a guy who posts on Facebook, on the black powder pages. He makes some very nice wheel locks. "Cheap" for a quality lock is something you should never look for.

This winter, I started thinking about "needs". 2020 was a year of shortages and the trend seems to be continuing...also, if I read the tea leaves correctly, we are about to enter into the 1970s-like inflation. So I started purchasing some things...

I believe the keys to getting best results with the shake and bake method is to pour the coated boolits from your #5 container into a fine mesh strainer like a vegetable strainer, and shake off the excess powder. Then pour them from the strainer...

When I look at the bases of my powder coated RCBS 25-100's they sure seem quite uniform to me. Much more so than the occasional boolit that has a gas check not seated squarely for whatever reason. If my experiments with gas checked PC'd vs PC'd...

I've been experimenting with powder coated boolits in the .250 Sav. The rifle is a bolt action Savage Mdl 16. So far I have been sizing them to .258 and seeing if those without checks will shoot different than those that wear checks. The jury is...

She's pretty well known around here. Directly from one of her family members. I think the guy she is talking about is the manager for the gun area. I've heard a lot of other stories about odd service at that store.

Okay, I've only been shooting them for 47 years, and building them for 40 years. Nipples should only be removed once a year for inspection and lubing.

That's a shame. Machineguns Montana announced they will be holding a machine gun shoot somewhere here around Kalispell this summer. It would be nice to have an event like that local annually.
