The only wrong question, is the one unasked by you. Great folks here willing to help you. And your gun should be up to any lever action load, as stated by Marlinman93. I have shot several Pedersoli RB's with some stout loads, with no issues. There...

Smoking wood gets that dusty old taste if it is older than 3-4 years. I preferred to not go past 2 and any excess would go to the fie pit for bonfire nights. When I was burning wood I went thru 2/3 cord a year in the smoker. Bought it delivered in...

No need to soak in water, that just creates steam and bitter white smoke. Clean burning wood is going to give the best flavor with a lot more subtle flavors than just smokey.

Stir fry is a staple in my house, over rice or chowmein noodles for crunch. Marinate meat, prep all the veg, stir fry the meat in a smoking hot wok(the caramelization is a part of the flavor) then pull it and set it aside, add your veg and stir fry...

If she is west you may be better off going up I29 to Sioux Falls then I 90 east to MN23. 23 diagonals across the state to Duluth and you can pick up US 212 and MN7 to head to the west metro area. Probably save a few miles and avoid some city...

If you can swap a battery in a car you can setup a solar power system(simple one, not as complex as mine, I do some voltage dependent switching and have transfer switches to drop loads back on grid if needed). As I said, you have a positive and...

Yes I did the labor. You have plus and minus from the solar stuff, didn't do any drywall damage(I made sure to leave access conduits for low voltage add ons like speakers etc when I remodeled). It isn't hard to use a fish tape to get thru a ceiling...

I went with separate switches and lights. Switches have to be DC rated in case of a short. LED lights draw 1-2 amps MAX at 24 volts and that is a very bright light. I bought 250 feet of 14 gauge power cord with ground. With such low current draw it...

Having $2500+++ of charge controller, batteries, inverters at the panels is not practical... MPPT charge controllers can accept up to 150 volts for the one I use, some go as high as 600! They down convert to match your battery bank voltage and can...

If you read my post I put this in as backup power, and I may as well reduce my electric bill while I am at it! Primary use is backup, outages happen here many times a year because the power system dates from 1950!
