I did not renew my C&R license mostly so I'd stop buying odd ball handguns. By accident I started collecting .32 handguns. I have a Mauser, a Savage, a Meloir, a Dreyse, an Ortgies, a S&W "Lemon Squeezer", and a S&W .32 RF. I also have a Marlin...

Is this the method you use to form the cases from 7.62x39? I tried with no luck at all. I'd like to try again. "7.62X39 to .401WSL. 1. Run the well lubed 7.62X39 case into a .41 mag. sizer die...it won't go all the way, just up to the solid...

For the 32 WSL brass, I use 32-20 brass. 35 WSL I use 38 or 357 brass. 351 WSL I use 357 brass. 401 WSL I use 414 Super Mag brass. I don't cut extractor grooves in any of the brass, and they all eject perfectly. These rifles are pretty...

Battis replied to a thread 0.392 Round Ball in Muzzleloading.
I have an antique Savage and North .36 BP revolver in which I shoot .390 roundballs. Other .36 BP revolvers use .375 or .380 balls but, for some reason, the Savage and North is oversized, possibly by design or simply due to its age. It was tough...

If you use PAM, make sure you clean it completely from the action or it will form a hard, sticky mess, kinda like Polyurethane. You don't need alot of it. Just keep it in the barrel. After you shoot, and use it, point the muzzle to the ground and...

I use black powder in my 81. Getting the OAL of the cases to 2.2" so they will feed through the magazine is a challenge. For lube, I spray the vegetable spray PAM down the barrel every few shots. I haven't tried smokeless yet and probably...

I was mainly referring to the caliber of the bullet, as pictured in the original post. The rifle is marked 38WCF, so someone might assume that it's a 38 caliber bullet. It's not. I posted, The rifle is marked 38WCF, but it's actually a 40...

How was I wrong? I mentioned that it was marked 38WCF, but was actually a 40 caliber bullet. To be consistent with other caliber markings (45-70, 30-40, 50-70, etc) it should have been marked 40-38.

A friend of mine inherited an original Winchester in 38-40. She doesn't shoot but I've been collecting components - brass, bullets - in case she wants to shoot the rifle. It's as nice an antique rifle as I've ever seen. I managed to get her to...

That's what I was hoping to hear. I lived in Lynn, MA for four years, which is called a pretty bad place, but I'll tell ya, no one bothered me in those four years, and we had no problems at all. Then I moved to a Mayberry-type place and that all...

I wouldn't say that I'm brainwashed because I understand the concept of firewood being carbon neutral. Burning wood gives off CO2. Growing trees suck in that same CO2. Nothing to do with the "civilized west" media. Is it exactly carbon neutral,...
