If a bear of any size or color were charging my rosey red rear I would take the bear seriously. I'm a practical man, I'd shoot back with whatever I had at hand but my desired defence weapon would be a tripod mounted 12 ga., double barreled...

I never felt under-gunned with my Browning "Sweet Sixteen" and it handled like an extension of me. But, in the early 70s ammo was coming hard to find and shot shells were costly to reload so I traded it for Weatherby's beautiful and then new...

Harbor Freight has workable butane pen torches for not much. Lock-Tite comes in several formulas, from not real hard to near concrete, so the required heat to soften them varies quite a bit but when heated they ALL soften eventually.

A lot of noise is made over how much better modern rifle scopes are than the old ones. I say okay but how much difference does a 50's scope make and the answer is a lot less than many people think. > We now have better lens grinders that provide...

The first thing to know about big bears is they can and will kill you if they want to. Second thing to know is that bullet "knock-down power" mostly exists in movies and TV, not the real world. I love my 1911 and stout 250 gr. boolit reloads but...

Yes, it's Sunday morning and I'm not in church like I should be but I'm NOT a total hypocrite so don't bash me. I'm in congestive heart failure and got out of a hospital yesterday after a week in one of their beds so I'm still too tired go anywhere...

True. Our schools of "higher learning" taught tens of thousands of young folk to earn degrees as Masters of Business Administration. That means they were taught HOW to rapidly wring every drop of blood possible from the companies they controlled. ...

Roger that. Nor is Israel in a bloody war with the second ring of countries surrounding it; prophecy is always detailed truth when it's fulfilled. (See Psm 83 for the inner ring of Israel's surrounding enemies.)

Off a good bench, my mid 70s set trigger and TC peep sighted .54 Renegade (like Larry's no. 6) with the lighter Maxiballs smeared with Bore Butter sitting over 120 gr. charges of Pyrodex flakes usually shoots into less than 2" @100 yds. I've had...

"Free parts" from anyone aren't and can't be exactly free. The company's projected needs for future replacement parts are reflected in the original price so you pay for your share of the parts even if you never need them. (And some high failure...

I finally drank the green Kool-Aid in '95 and bought an RC II. It's still as strong and tight as my original '65 Lyman Spartan press but it IS NOT an A2. (Only meaning that with nominal care my RC II is fully as good as any other iron press...

IF it's necessary to back the adjustment screw out so far the cap is hitting it fix the problem by putting a shim under the front base mounting screws. An old credit card should be sufficent.

I've never understood the need of a massive press to size cast bullets of any alloy. I started casting in '65 using a Lyman 45 lub/sizer with straight lynotype metal; that stuff is HARD! NO ONE would rightly claim that the ol' 45 was a heavy...

Ditto. I'm performance oriented and don't understand the point of buying and carrying man size rifles to shoot puny handgun cartridges; lever rifles and the .30-30 cartridge were made for each other! And, other than a rig for sub-teen children...

Good questions. To get the answers we have to correctly separate two end times events; the Rapture and the Second Coming. The "SURPRISE!" event is when Jesus calls his people, living and dead, to rise up to heaven in the twinkling of an eye to...

That's misunderstood and wrongly applied scripture. It means God is a judge of justice, not hateful revenge, so no legal penalty could rightly exceed the wrongs that were done. Thus, Jesus was simply saying the penalty should match the crime. If...

Soft hearted touchy-feely illusions aside, executions for cause are NOT "murder". The Commandant translated, "Thou shall not kill" is a poor translation of the message. It should read, "You shall not murder". There's a vast difference between...
