Very minimal work to make it fit. As said before, might have to notch the stock for the rear sight. But barrel channel, action, trigger, etc should fit.

Tried to find one last year, no luck. Got a Savage Axis in 223 instead. It doesn't have an AR mag, but a 223 rifle is a lotta fun!

I also have loaded the Lee boolit. The 1/10 twists of each of the rifles that I cast and load for prefer the heavier RCBS boolits. However, the Lee boolit did shoot very well, it just would not cast over .277-.278. The throats will take just a bit...

I'm going to assume you are talking about a 270 Winchester, not a 270 Weatherby Magnum and such. The 270 Win is to me a sleeper. I have taken deer over the last 2 years from 50 yards to 120 yards with cast boolits in this caliber. I absolutely love...

Or alternatively, you could cast boolits from Zinc. No need for a gas check and they come out about 60-70% of the weight of the same boolit in lead.

That's some high pressure for an already high pressure round in normal pistol circumstances. If you want over 1400 or so fps, you're more than likely gonna need a gas check on that boolit. Accurate and NOE both have options that fit your needs. If I...

sigep1764 replied to a thread Annealing question in Cast Boolits
Im cheap. I use a propane torch, a dark room, and a drill with a socket to fit the brass. I turn the brass with the drill til its just slightly glowing all the way around on the neck, then dump into a bucket of water. Works for me. Takes about ten...

50 acres in the middle of Missouri or on a lake in Missouri. Enough space the neighbors leave us alone and plenty of outside activity.

This was supposed to be S&W's answer to the Remington 1100. What was the question. My FIL had one that he used once and as usual he cleaned it and put it away. Next time out it wouldn't cycle, seemed there was a rubber bumper that got dissolved...

sigep1764 replied to a thread Feeding Problems in Cast Boolits
Usually with lower charges causing feeding issues, it is the speed or distance the slide travels that is to blame. If the charge does not have enough energy to push the slide all the way back, it cannot properly pick up the next round. It can also...

We have a Stihl FS90 down at the lake and its going on 20 years. 4 stroke that runs on 2 stroke mix. I go down once a month and have to weedeat a couple of acres at least, too rocky for mowing. The fuel lines gave out a couple years ago and not...
