That 448 "die" is probably the same one I had on the 250. I'll look the next few days and see if I have one. If I do, we'll get together by PM and e-mail and see if the thing fits, Be glad to give it to you to get yours up and running again. ...

If it's wrinkles, pressure casting should cure that. If it'd improper band fill out, the mould's too hot. This is a common occurrence with moulds with high capacity cavities. The solution there is to slow down the casting tempo and let the bullet...

Sorry, fat finger and a small keyboard. I meant to type 230 grain full wadcutter bullet. I also have a GB 452423 that casts 240 grain Keith SWC boolits. I will try those also but really like the full WC. Kevin

After decades of looking, I finally found a shooter grade Model 1950, 45 ACP revolver. I plan to use the Saeco 453, 240 grain wadcutter boolit in this revolver. Looking to get 850-900 fps frm it. Kevin

Would it be possible to post a picture of what you have. I put together a MEC 250 once. Lot of parts for the 600 worked with it. If I didn't have it in hand, I'd move on. Love the old MECs. Bought a 250 about the early 60s and the boy's...

When all else fails, go to Ace Hardware and buy a bolt that fits the die thread and work it down with an electric drill and a flat file. It's slow work and a lathe is better but I don't have one. It works though and I have made several when the...

Yeah, you guys did like I have over the years. I was in need of a dipper for loading large shot with my MEC. The charge bars don't drop anything close to prescribed weight for 3s, (yes I had a partial bag) 4s and 5s. They're all factory...

Good question but yes if you have a fully equipped machine shop available and loads of time and deep pockets. First off, you can make anything but the cost is prohibitive. I discovered this when I first stared accumulating 310 dies. Many were...

My 45 Colts are Rugers, and my sweet spot with those is 1000-1025 FPS from the 7.5" barrel of the BisHawk. This happens with either 10.0 grains of Unique or 11.0 grains of Herco. DO NOT USE THESE LOADS IN COLT SAA, NEW SERVICE, S&W 25-SERIES, OR...

Paco Kelly experimented with the .30/.38 Special and maybe the .30/357 in the Marlin M1894 lever guns. Might be what you're looking for. Find his articles and drop him an e-mail and he'll respond. Heck of a nice guy./beagle
