I've got the Arsenal 'PC' version (no lube grooves') of that boolit and it's become pretty much my 'go to' for moderate .357 Mag loads in both my handguns and Rossi '92. Accurate and feeds flawlessly in the levergun. Bill

Until your post, I'd never seen one of those but, this morning, I noticed there's one just like yours listed on an online auction of ammo, gun parts, and tools at Mattoon, IL. Bill

With the exception of straight-wall cases for my single-shot rifles, I usually order my NOE neck expander diameters .001 UNDER the finished diameter of my boolits (after sizing). Bill

And it's back again (in Illinois)!! One of Chicago's cookie-cutter state reps has dusted off the old, debunked microstamping proposal and dropped it back into the legislative hopper for the Spring session. Bill

Nope...don't think so. My 'typical' is about the same except for work jeans and a canvas welder's apron. Bill

Walked through the Outdoor Sports of my local Farm & Fleet store this morning and, instead of last week's completely empty shelves, found quite a bit of ammo in stock. No .22 rimfire but lots of bulk-pack 5.56...mostly green-tip SS109...some...

Title pretty much says it all. I snagged several unopened 1-pounders of Win. 748 from an estate auction last week...paid less than 'sticker price' for the whole lot. Some years back, I burned a fair amount of 748 in 7 TCU and 7BR and some in 30-06...

Unsalted lard...readily available at your local supermarket...makes a quite satisfactory substitute for 'sheep tallow'. Been using it in the 'modified Emmert's' formula for quite a few years with no issues. Bill

I don't own/shoot a .38-55 levergun but I do load the caliber for a repro Highwall. My boolits are 305 gr. RNFPs from an old NEI single-cavity mold, pan-lubed and loaded 'as cast' (.3805-.381). Essentially, I 'neck-size' my Starline brass using a...

Finished breaking down 250 rounds of 9mm yesterday afternoon (sometimes, I really hate my Dillon SDB!!). Remelt pulled boolits into ingots, pull decapping rod from full-length sizer, clean powder measure, and start all over again. Bill

Haven't tried Tite-Group, but an almost identical NEI boolit over 8.2 gr. 700X, out to 100 yds, are as accurate as full-house loads from my Savage 340 and G1 Contender. Given that Tite-Group is just a bit faster than 700X (#19 vs. #21 on my chart),...

Over the years, the few times I've called Lyman Customer Service have yielded mixed results; some good, some less than satisfactory. In other words, 'bout the same as any other major market manufacturer. Bill

Not 'pure lead' but I powder coat 30-1 Lyman 457124s (400 gr. RNs) for my by reproduction Trapdoor carbine. Shooting BP, accuracy goes south after 4 or 5 shots from hardened powder fouling but with smokeless, no problems. Bill

Other than a quick stop (less than 30 min.) for a function check or to test-fire a load, 25-30 deg. (F) with wind under 10 mph is pretty much my limit these days...and then it's insulated Carharts, Sorel boots, and scuba gloves!! Bill
