Sweet's 7.62 Solvent is what I use for serious copper fouling. Yes, plug the gas port and remove the bolt so you can flush the solvent out after cleaning. Be sure to follow the directions, it should not be left in the bore for long periods of time!

I love to squirrel hunt, but the little ones born this year are out and about now. Wife and I stopped the car to watch one playing on top of the mail box on the way out of the driveway yesterday. Our season is open again now, but I just can't see...

They build nests down in the grass where they can't be seen. I've run over them with the lawn mower not realizing it, unfortunately, killed a few once, but as often as not, it scattered a few out unhurt, I picked them up and put them back as close...

I am NOT going to be so quick to join those that condemn. Listing Mr. John Walters good side of the balance sheet would take a book to complete. I would like to hear a little more, or as Paul Harvey used to say, "the rest of the story". There may...

Dad was an avid Bullseye shooter for decades and had a ton of state trophies to show for it. His favorite bullet was the Lyman 452488. Works very well in .45 Colt revolvers too.

Why are you aiming for Linotype hardness? Knowing the purpose of these boolits would be helpful to know. More Antimony = Larger boolits as you surmised, and also much more difficulty sizing them. BHN 21 is something I "might" use for rifle alloy....

It goes back to what's been said several times, most who get bit were doing something dumb. Far be it from me to rain on their parade and I respect their freedom to worship how they please, but I do remember that scripture tells us not to put God...

It works darn well, and the Sawyer's brand from Walmart is pretty cheap and available. We're having a pretty good year here, tick wise. A hard cold snap late in the Winter when it had been warm enough for them to start to move seems to have...

You're a lot more likely to get laid low by a tick bite than a snake bite. Not sure about Indiana, but if Kansas is an indicator of the midwest, snakes really aren't a problem. Where I grew up in the S.C. low country, or west Texas where I spent...

There's no snake in North America that can bite through leather. And 762 shooter is right, you might as well just stay in the house 24/7 if you're that timid, you might get struck by lightning or something. Can't be too careful, after all.

It depends what gun I am shooting. My Ruger LCP 380 is shot at 21 feet to 50 feet. My XP-100's are shot out to 500 yards. My bullseye guns are preferred at 50 yards but if 25 yard is all that is available that is what they are shot at.
