Northern AZ here, exceptional drought and record high temps either tied or broken every day this week. Wildfires are burning all over the place, and it's smoky as all get out. Yeah, and it's not even summer yet.

The 8mm Mauser is no slouch. Properly loaded, it'll do all the 06 will do and then some. But yeah, if ya shoot corrosive surplus out of it...clean it the same day or the bore will get "moldy" on you real quick.

Excellent for all Outpost75 mentions. Additionally I'll add the 7.62x39 with 110 - 125 gr jacketed bullets. Use 22.5 to 23 gr. With 123 gr AK/SKS bullet of .310/.311 diameter it equals milsurp velocity and pressure.

I suggest Bullseye. Start at 4 gr and work up in 1.2 gr increments to 6.5 gr. No filler or wad should be used.

MOA started a thread WTB - die body's. in Swappin & Sellin
I'm looking for two used die bodies if someone has a box of odds & ends. I got two used die sets, and each is missing one die body. Talked to Redding and RCBS and these are not available. Here's what I'm looking for. 1. Expanding die for RCBS...

Got a hold of some hard to get black powder cartridge reloading dies. They hadn't been used for quite a few years. Home was a box up on a shelf in a garage. Two of the sets were missing a die body so I've emailed Redding and RCBS about...

Mark, unless you find, or come across another steel 6 point pre-crimp ring, stick with reloading 8 point crimped hulls. Don't crimp 6 point hulls with the crimp ring you have now. Your AA hulls and most target loaded factory hulls are 8 point...

I initially went that route back in 1981 after getting my first 600 in 12 gauge. Bought the 10 gauge dies an then the 16 and swapped them out. A real PITA. Save yourself time, frustration, and money. Keep your eyes out for more 600 Jr's in those...

Looks like a MK-5. 600 Jr. in 12 gauge. Talk to the people at MEC. They have parts that should fit. Should be marking on the red base plate. Be sure to download the manual that's free online. It'll help identify missing parts by name and parts...

Sweet's 7.62 Solvent is what I use for serious copper fouling. Yes, plug the gas port and remove the bolt so you can flush the solvent out after cleaning. Be sure to follow the directions, it should not be left in the bore for long periods of time!

Why are you aiming for Linotype hardness? Knowing the purpose of these boolits would be helpful to know. More Antimony = Larger boolits as you surmised, and also much more difficulty sizing them. BHN 21 is something I "might" use for rifle alloy....

Larry Gibson replied to a thread crimp cast in Cast Boolits
No, I have not found any improvement by crimping with cast or jacketed bullets in the 22 Hornet or 223 Remington for use in my Contenders. I do crimp cast and jacketed M193 bullets for use in gas guns but not other bullets that do not have a...
