I have. Kowa and it is clear as gin and I really like it. I bought my son a 1st generation green ring Leupold and it was terrible BUT I called Leupold and the rep told Me to box it up and send it back to them. In about 10 days a new one showed up...

Good idea. If I had used my brain, I would have kept the Ruger 77 MK II and rebarrelled it with a tighter twist and been a LOT better off for a lot less money.

He certainly does. My Hastings 12 ga barrel slugs .729 and if I order a mold for it. it will be a .731 also. You can always squeeze 'em down. Show us a pic of that sizer when you get it if you don't mind.

Charlie, before you get rid of that 223, remember that there is almost a inexhaustable supply of once fired brass for that caliber. That could be a very important factor in the unsure future.

I have read all the post with quite some interest but unless you have been giving deer Valium, the ones I have hunted for the last 55 yrs will NOT keep their head still to make a RELIABLE head shot at any range. They are constantly jerking their...

That's not too shabby for 25 yds and offhand. Your 265 gr LBT at 1800 is a right powerful load out of that Winchester. Have you shot any critters with that boolit?

Dom, do you know what diameter the throats on the 629 are? My guess is they are closer to .429 and that is the size you are sending down the barrel.

Amen to that. No room in saddle bags for a Lyman 4500! Dom, let us know how they shoot out of that Winchester.

The secret to long(er) range shooting of handguns is bigger targets with lots of contrastThis is a homemade target that I can see at 50 yds for open sights and still has a pretty good aiming point for 100 yds or a bit further with a scope. Can't...

Here is what works in my son's 450 Ruger. The accuracy is pretty good but I have not been able to equal the factory 250 gr with the Flex Tip Hornady load with anything.

While we are wondering, I wonder how a Magneto Speed would work with shotguns. I have only used mine once but for rifles, it is a success. Especially at the public range I shoot at. With the Magneto Speed, you don't have people waiting until you get...

I REALLY like those holsters! No fancy stuff just clean lines and great execution. I'd love to have one in a cross draw for a 4" N frame 44 Smith.

Actually it was "make 'em fit" or else you would be terminated. Winchester machinist were having to use old Lincoln milling machines that were so old they would not produce repeatable parts of the same dimensions and the springs were hand wound and...

You've been reading my mind. I have an old Ruger 77 Tang Safety in 280 that is the next "victim" and it is going to be a 1-8" twist 23" 6mm Rem.

I have one that I built on a Mark X with a 23" Douglas and it s a great round. You will notice that it has a little more neck than a 300 Win and the velocity difference is usually 100fps or less, plus you can seat a 200 gr Nosler Partition out to...

Dont under estimate those 22's. When I was a boy, I built a bullet trap out of hard wood flooring left over from our house. I shot my 22 in the basement and those 22's eventually gnawed out a hole in the double layer of hardwood flooring and 1 went...

My Accurate Mold drops these at .361 from wheel weight +% tin. It is spot on at 158 grs. All you have to do when you order a mold is to fill in the diameter you want.

A boolit trap to salvage your own lead, dirt/sand backstop on your own place! Man, it just doesn't get any better than that. Not having to load and unload the truck to go shoot sounds like a winner.
