I had a 47 cub with hydraulic lift. If you have the 6' woods belly mower you really want the hyd lift. Also a 6' mower on the cub is really wanting for power. I had plow cultivators and mower for mine. Does yours have the wheel weights in the rims?...

Gtek beat me to it, but I was going to suggest Bore Tech Eliminator. That stuff eats copper and doesn't have ammonia in it. Use with aluminum cored plastic brushes or it will destroy your brush.

Exactly, the big soaking cushion wad goes in last over the shot. And I suspect you're right about what is happening. Less friction on the bore and less deformation of the pellets.

. The Postell mold (457132) casts 0.460 driving bands, but the nose is too small at 0.447. So exactly what is it that would make that nose useless? It's only .003 under bore diameter and doesn't carry any lube.. Indian Joe is right, I wasn't...

In my 20 ga. Northwest trade musket. For those not familiar with this, it's the most counter-intuitive thing I can think of to do with a load. 55gr of powder, cardboard wad, 1 1/4 oz shot, and a felt wad dripping wet soaked in olive oil. I was...

I used to leave the 20 ga deprime head, drop tube, and primer seater on mine for 12,16, and 20. Everything comes in the gage specific die kit but that was less stuff to change. I found other used 600s for cheap pretty often so have a full set now....

Wilton is a upper end name in vises. That a really nice one.Yes now you need a bench heavy enough to match the vise. In a pinch split a copper pope length wise and flatten the bend up into caps for the vise.

Yep 600jr, when they still had steel dies too! You will need the lock ring for the sizer ring as well. Make sure you have the pre crimp starter that you want,, 8 or 6, they are no longer available. If not get the spindex plastic die conversion for...

Flynth, you should be able to locate reasonably local, and 450 gr bullet intended for the 577 450 martini, diameter should be around .460, cast from 20-1 or 16-1 it should give good service from 100-1000. Or just break down and get Pedersoli's 535...

As others have mentioned, paper patching 45 caliber pistol bullets works quite well in the 45-70. The only rub is the sights are usually way off due to the much reduced recoil. But pure lead 200 grain hollowpoints at full pressure do certainly...

Today I noticed a #7 taper pin reamer goes from .3297" to .422" over a length of 4.437". That should cover 36 caliber revolvers nicely. I am working on a Pietta 36 cal currently so ordered one of those reamers to give it a try. We'll see how that...
