At one time there were two Krag sporters in the family. One had a pristine bore and the other was mildly pitted in the grooves from chamber to muzzle. Both slugged at +/- .309. Using a harder alloy (92-6-2) both shot well. The pristine bore liked...

Have used LEE, RCBS and currently use Hornady, all worked as designed. Whatever brand you find by all means get a taper crimp die and seat and crimp as a separate operations.

When I was casting a lot for friends had dedicated 450's for each caliber. Moved and no longer cast a lot of calibers and decided to clear out some space. Kept the dies and top punches on the remote chance I cast a few more for my friends. 1. ...

Have had an M39 and a Win 250. The M39 went to my son and hte Win is long gone as well. Liked the 250 and got it 63 just after they came out. Not sure of the round count (a lot) but about 67-68 had to send it back to Win, the locking recess in...

Might try only seating in the seater die and then taper crimping in a separate die. Have experience with four SA 45's, two RO's, another 1911, and XDM(?). All work reliably with SWC and the few RN we used worked fine as well. Plunk test as...

The 308 Norma has been around a long time and was edged out by the 300 Win Mag. It was easy to re-chamber 06's and open the bolt face. Have seen several 03's and a 19717 in 308 N. Not sure if a 93/95 action is suitable, the 308N is a 50K + round.

Only #3's I have experience with are in 30/40. With the factory stock and full power loads they were an exercise in pain and suffering. The two I have now were restocked with butt stocks in the #1 configuration, one custom and the other #1...

Used it in 223, 243, and 06. Meters extremely well. Did find it necessary to use mag primers in 243 and 06. Found the issue with electronic ear muffs, some rounds had a definite click bang when fired. Mag primers fixed the issue.

To save money they used the blanks that were left overs from the original 03 production. I replaced the stock on my A3 with a "C" stock to make it more user friendly.

Disassemble and clean thoroughly, check cavity edges for burrs. Before putting together rube drop or two of synthetic 2 cycle oil on the top of the mold and bottom of the sprue plate, or plug cavities with cotton balls, tissue etc and lightly spray...

My standard mouse fart load is 5 grs Bulseye and a NOE 120 gr 30 cal in 30/40 Krag Ruger No 3 and 30/06 in a full military 03A3. Use the same load with the NOE 105 gr 243 bullet in my Win M70 FWT. As noted at 25 yards or so accurate enough for...

Donnely suggests using 270 Win brass for forming. Suggested load was 43 grs of 4350 with a 160 gr bullet for 2500 fps, identified Barnes as the source for that data. Bore diameter is given as .264.
