Actually tarnish is your friend, keeps the lead/tin from sticking. Heat cycle the mold to 400F a few times to give the mold some color before casting. They used to solder copper pipe to brass fittings with lead/tin alloy and it works well on...

I remember one bar in Wisconsin that had 5 stages, the main stage had a semi tractor for the backdrop. Drinks were $2 so I tipped well which made it worse as our glasses were never allowed to be empty. All I remember.

Molds require a lot of setup for a one off project. Commercial molds are very reasonable compared to the man hours to make just one. It would have to be an itch I couldn't scratch any other way. I like the discussion though.

These are not cheap but mine has paid for itself. I keep it full of ATF and Acetone 50/50 and don't have to worry about the Acetone evaporating. It pressurizes with an air compressor. It holds pressure for years so you could charge it at a gas...

I would put in conduit box to box and pull in regular copper THHN. The new stuff is slick as snot and pulls in easy. Aluminum wire needs to have it's lugs checked every so often as they loosen over time.
