Where's the joy of getting a fussy 2 cycle started after hours of trying. Or getting one started without needing Band-Aids. Does "Kiting" a plane still mean the same thing?

$429 for a Lyman? Isn't the USA made Magma $600? and twice the size. Just got the Midway flyer with 10% off the ProMelt but I see the OP got that. I got the ProMelt 2 for $250. If they tightened up the quality control it's probably worth...

In the last few weeks Primers have been available online for $60-$75 a brick but hazmat pushed that up to 9 cents each due to a lack of powders to add to the order. I am encouraged by actually getting some and will treat them like gold until prices...

The grid tie inverters won't run if the utility is down, there has to be utility voltage present. Beyond that the utilities ground both ends of lines being worked on. Not like the old days when they worked a lot of jobs hot. Grid tie inverters...

The smallest package I ever got from PV arrived Tuesday with a single brick of sp primers. Half of them were in brass by early afternoon and 100 loaded by nightfall. Did a small test Wednesday with the MP 125 HPs, it shot to the sights at 25Y. Good...

Since there is little hard data on primers here are the best rumors. Win LP are supposed to be hotter as they don't have magnum primers. One size fits all. Federal Mag Primers are not hotter the brass cup is thicker to take higher pressure. ...

I used to have a Bruning Drafting Machine in the front room, that's how we did it. Got to have something to make drawings that others can understand. CAD just rolls up easier.

Full AutoCad you can live inside and just send out for pizza and mountain dew. Sketch Up may still be free online but they charge for everything else. AutoCad Lt is more than I want so I bought a stand alone copy of AutoSketch.

2 versions of an RC primer catcher. The brass tube inside the ram is common to both. I used brass from the hobby shop but I've seen guys use straws.

I wait until I see gaps in the lube in the groove. I'll see a flash of silver where it should be grey. The side far from the valve is the closest to me so that's the most likely spot, right in front.

Group buys have been taking years lately. If the mold you are missing is popular like the 640 or 256 you can ask to be notified the next time it runs. I got one that way in less than 2 months.

If you want dimensional lumber a swing saw is faster and you don't have to worry about knots pushing the band saw blade around. On a swing saw the blade rotates 90 degrees to make a second cut on the return stroke so you get 1 piece of lumber per...

Preheat on a hotplate with a steel plate on the coils to distribute the heat to about 400F and start casting. Any machine oil will evaporate. Without preheat those 6 or 8 sprues will be hard to cut.

Get the USA made Alaskan, it's solid. I just milled 2 logs. More horsepower is better. I used a 5 HP. It is work. That it wastes wood is splitting hairs, a circular or bandsaw of any size is going to take 1/4 inch or more. I plan to get a $20K mill...

A Lyden jar is a capacitor, needs to be charged. What he has are Lead/Acid Batteries. The core is positive and outer tube negative. It's the perfect collector item for a leadhead. Someone who knows to wash their hands. Positive is Lead Oxide.

Water doesn't stain, it's minerals left behind. Try a final rinse of distilled or RO water and car wash n' wax.
