I have killed over 225 deer with a firearm. The only time I have every had issues with needing more than one shot is when I used bullets designed for much heavier game. They acted like solids. I failed to recover one deer with the firearm.

I own calibers/barrels in both rimmed and rimless. Both work equally as well. Never owned a 30 Herrett, but I did own a 357 Herrett. It was a great caliber and did as claim but I got tired of the wildcat brass forming. Personally, I would go...

Not even close to being legal for a gunsmith to "confiscate" an unsafe firearm. Unsafe is highly subjective. It might be truly unsafe to fire yet 100% safe as a non-firing display. The gunsmith has ZERO legal rights to "confiscate" said firearm. ...

Spot on with your analysis. Since the so-called gunsmith has passed that would indicate he was old enough to have worked on older firearms, and he should have been aware of the 10's of millions of manual operated firearms that were designed without...

For my volume of casting, a few hundred at a time, my Lee bottom pour works great. Working on a PID for more stable temperature. Dropping a new ingot that is too cold can stop the flow until the pot recovers. So I use my toaster oven as an ingot...
