My Dad has been gone 3 years but my son's and son's in-law are doing ok . Sometimes I feel much like my Dad did ; A few years ago my Dad said to me " Bill you've done an amazing job . You raised your own kids strong and independent . You doted...

Based on reading from very old test sheets the 50 BMG is exactly what it is often described as , a 30-06' scaled up to 50 cal . A 750g linked ball runs 2700 fps on 55 kpsi from a 34" barrel . Again old test sheets circa 1953-74 lots . I know zip...

My stash and recent adds from more of Dad's stuff found I won't be buying much of anything for some time . Currently pistols , cases 1.285" and under are $5.40/100 . Rifles <2" case length are running 6-14/100 . Rifles >2" case length are...

Sled Man hit it . Odds are , even if you have a Schofield chamber , the Colts dies will size plenty . More so if you're using carbide dies . I have 45 ACP , S&W , Mag , and Colts die sets and the S&W chambers were cut with a 45 ACP reamer as...

My deal is I pack it all and secure the addresses . I never worried about the contents getting completely separated from the boxes out west . Being here however I have a 50/50 chance of every package coming or going through Memphis TN . They I...

The split mouths is the highest probability . With the high variations I'd just set a trimmer at 1.11 and buy a Lee set of 45 S&W or a spare seater and make them all long/ish 45 S&W . I've been trying to get the guys cranky about the Hornady...

I have several RCBS moulds . 45-200 SWC great mould it only gets bumped because I can pour 4x as many H&G #130s every pour . 270-150 SP is fine as a super heavy for a custom 6.8 but it patches well for a couple of 7mms too . 27-130 FP...

I'm still working ....... The 270-140 NOE was good , mine drops .272 in my alloy and shot well enough to make more work make sense . I sized a 266469 .265 and paper patched up for the .272+ throat for good results . Mine is .257.268 ,...

I have a PB/HB MP 462-420 . It was a special run I guess as it cast 50/50 .460-417 PB and .460-380 HB . I mention that because there are so many designs designated as Hollow or not and cast accordingly . Lee also makes a bullet that is basically...

I got 980 from a 141 gr RB with 777 FFFg at 35 gr . I shot a few 45-200s over about 25 gr no chronograph data . The consensus is that the RB shoots better than the conicals . The Pickett types were only 210 gr and fit the frame cut out .

35/9mm core sizer for paper patch , or a custom for an under or oversized bore . I have a pair of .272s . Fortunately I have I have a .269 6.5 Arisaka to go with them but paper patch in a 270 Win or WSM could be a thing some day .

Dead soft , they're intended for a .451-.454 RB at 141 gr for the .454 . It's also going to shoot high . The repros like the originals are sighted for 50 yd . The gap is a little tight , shot with olive oil damped felt wads it likely will be...
