Scrounge replied to a thread bad early childhood in Our Town
We had a neurologist at OU Children's Hospital tell us the same thing about our son, who was age 4 then. I invited him out to pistols for two, and coffee for one. Son was later diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, or what they also called...

Haven't had rabbits around here in decades. Too many people moving in around me. Can't hardly shoot my pellet rifle anymore because of all the new neighbors :(

Never heard the term till I moved to Colorado and a fellow from Chicago joined the gun club. When he used the term I just looked at him with a "what are you talking about" look, then it dawned on me what he meant.

Nope. Leather doesn't stop a snake bite when it's still on the cow, either. Double-thickness, maybe, though I wouldn't care to bet on it. The idea is to avoid the snake, and make it avoid you. Walk heavy, and don't stick your face or other body...

It depends what gun I am shooting. My Ruger LCP 380 is shot at 21 feet to 50 feet. My XP-100's are shot out to 500 yards. My bullseye guns are preferred at 50 yards but if 25 yard is all that is available that is what they are shot at.

There is an accuracy drill that I like, though you need wide open and empty space to do it safely. Toss or drop an fired shotshell a couple of yards in front of you, and shoot it without using the sights. Keep bouncing it around and driving it...

You're probably right. I've been doing what they call Prepping these days, since I was 10 years old. For much of that time, I've been interested in learning how to make the stuff I think necessary for life. Past 6+ years, I've been taking a...

She should have life insurance on him through his work, and the HR folks there should help her through this. If you can get a look at his pay stubs, you should be able to verify that he had insurance. I'd start with the city's HR department. Then...

SWMBO wants to move back to NW Florida. Specifically, Destin, but she'd settle for wherever she could get to the beach on a daily basis. I need a place with a workshop, and I can't see us affording more than a 1-room studio apartment. At best. I...

I don't believe deer are as tough as bears or the 2-legged home invaders. They almost never wear body armor, either. If I have to shoot a bear or a human breaking into my house while we're in it, I want something that will knock them down and stomp...
