I use them a lot for plinking because of the light weight and not depleting my lead supply. I shot a load around 750 fps from my model 14 Smith in my Ransom rest and they shot around 4 inches at 50 yards which was better than I thought they would. ...

What a shame that a newbie goes on a rant about how dangerous casting is when it has virtually no possibility of giving a person high lead levels. I have been doing this since 1965 when in the Army on the bullseye league. My job was to cast and...

I use a rubber hammer from HF and it has lasted years and I have a few molds that you have to beat hard to drop bullets. Probably off center because the same one on the same side always hangs up. It must have steel or something heavy inside...

I have a Cabela electric scale that plugs in and it works well but you can not dribble powder in because it will make it out of adjustment. I don't know how much it cost because I got it in a group of supplies nor do I know if it is still...

It will not work for a 30/30 because they are larger and not based on a 30/06 cartridge.

My grandfather caught sparrows which we called chippies and cooked them with chicken feet in a pan of boiling oil. I don't know what kind of batter he put on the outside but it wasn't very thick. It was so crunchy that you could eat them and the...

3-600 at a time I would get a Lee 20 pound and use your other pot to feed it with liquid lead with a scoop ladle and you will be fine. If you want to do more, I like an older RCBS by far.

I would think that Bullseye shooters are in the minority anyway but many of us do it because we can make more accurate bullets than we can buy regardless the cost. In many pistols if not most a cast bullet is the most accurate possible. It just...

Get yourself a 20 pound pot and use your 10 pound to premelt so you can just take a dipper and keep your 20 pounder filled without having to worry about changing your temperature.

I would not use any bullet with antimony in it. One of the BPCR guys did some experimenting with lead that was harder hoping for better accuracy and his problem was that when you get leading with no antimony it is simple to clean it out with a...

I use only 2500 and bought some bricks and melted them down with a heat gun and put them in PVC of the right length while sitting on a steel plate. After putting them in the freezer overnight they came out easily. I also did it with BAC and...

I bought a used 550 that looked like new and had primer flipping problems and just adjusted the part where you turn the turret and it took me several times to get it perfect but now works perfectly. Bear in mind that when you do this it is also...

I used these in a Model 10 Smith shooting IDPA matches because I could load them very lightly and still get power factor. I don't remember exactly what my load was or how fast they were but I remember around 550 or so and the recoil was so light...

I bought 10,000 large pistol Wolf primers because they were about half the price of other primers. I sold them to all my friends for what they cost and all of us had problems with them an no one had problems with any other primers. Generally they...

Don, as soon as people have enough that they feel good about themselves they will stop buying completely because they won't use them up very fast, and that can make the prices go down rapidly. Most won't buy a case at a time like real shooters do.

I have never had problems pressure pouring with any mold except a few that I have that are pretty much junk and I don't think any NOE molds are junk.

If I don't load a caliber with my 550 I would get my old round Lee out and I have never broken anything on it but if it feels hard to squeeze, check to see why. Probably a primer hole that needs to be enlarged because it is crimped. Never needed...

I initially used a Herter model three for about 20 years and then bought a Lee plastic primer and then used it until I got an early 550. I never had any problems with primers going off until I bought some Wolf lpp about 20 years ago. It would be...

Now I found Winchester small pistol primers for $60 a thousand close to St. Louis and they had a lot with no limit. Hopefully it is starting to come around.
