dverna replied to a thread .27 Wildcast in Special Projects
The 7-30 Waters never developed the following it should have. Putting it in the 94 Winchester limited pressure for factory ammunition. But it had a flatter trajectory than the .30/30 and decent downrange ballistics. Good luck with your...

I have no idea where we got the Linotype. My Bullseye mentor organized the buy but that was over 45 years ago...he has gone to the big range where casting and reloading is not necessary and everyone shoots Clark’s. If you need some, keep a...

I am with you on this. Wet cleaning means having water, and a place to dump it. Then you have to dry the cases and with my sloppiness there will water splashed around making a mess. Dry cleaning is bad enough but the best of two crappy ways.

Helka, If you can get COWW for anything less than $.75/lb, buy all you can. I have Linotype I bought when I lived in Canada. I bought it over 45years ago and still have 300-400 lbs left. First rule of casting....always buy alloy if the...

Interesting concept but agree with richhodg66...who is the audience??? If I felt the need for faster repeat shots, I would use a semi-auto or lever action to hunt with. The BAR costs about the same, has been around a long time, and is a...

I doubt you can produce cast bullets for 1/3 of a penny...that works out to $3.33/1000. Keep in mind even "free" lead is rarely free. Using reclaimed lead from my range (so actually close to free) my cost, after factoring in lead lost that is...

I doubt to many were laughing. Im sure some couldnt afford one so critisized but fact is we already knew we were sitting on billions of gallons of oil right under our feet. Right where the left seems to think the electric fairy lives.
