Someone had restocked the rifle using pine wood. The gun had been varnished all over. I removed the varnish and threw away the pine wood stock and forearm. Found original wood on Flea Bay. Works great around the farm bangin woodchucks under 100 yards. Bore is worn as is the rifling. Just started powder coating. I have it down pretty well. Was gifted a 45 lb box of good quality of industrial powder paint. Can anyone with powder coat experience ever shot powder coated boolits in a rough bore?? Before I spring for a .25 cal flat point mould: thought I might hear from an experienced powder coater that has had some luck getting some accuracy out of a worn bore. Am afraid of leading up the bore. I still have the HF electrostatic gun, new in the box. So last night was my first time swirling boolits around with PC powder in an old Cool Whip container. Dang! This is kinda fun now. I am using roundish #5 plastic snap lid container. I can't seem to come up with a recipe that adequately covers the boolits on the first go. Tired more boolits, fewer boolits, more beads, fewer beads, more powder, less powder. Boolits come out of the shaker consistently only lightly coated with powder. Once cooled though, then going right back into the shaker and repeating the process they come out a well coated, even flat black and bake up great.

Can I PC over the White Frost or do they have to be Perfectly Clean?
I use Smokes from the WEB Site for PC Colors.
Using His Traffic Orange, 1st time, I know the Red side which Orange has a Base (RED), does not adhere to that well
Red being a Fugitive Dye from my Dry Cleaning days, just the way it is.

I am getting leading in a 44 magnum revolver with midrange loads after 20 rounds. My process which hasn't changed is as follows. After shaking 3 pounds of boolits in a closed container they are dried for an hour in the sun on a screen. They are then baked in a pid controlled toaster oven for 10 minutes after reaching 400f. They are put in a cold oven and warmed up with the oven. Is this too long?
