You say you need to carry a reload for your revolver but you don't want to spend a week reloading with onesie-twosie strips. You want to carry a speedloader, but you don't want a bulge on your beltline the size of your cylinder. Well Last Resort Tactical has come up with a clever pocket carrier that allows you to carry a speed loader, plus 6 spare rounds in your pocket with little more bulge than a wallet or handkerchief. It orients the speed loader in the pocket so you are able to quickly access the speed loader to refill your six shooter (or five, six, seven or even 8 shooter, should your tastes run that way.)

The R.A.C. (rapid access carrier) is made of a sturdy plastic with a very rough stippling on the outside to help hold it in position. Your HKS speed loader fits in a caliber and gun specific cut out in the center, while six hole--3 on either side of the speedloader, provide extra weight to holt the carrier in place when the loader is removed. It comes with plastic plugs that allow you to regulate the depth of the extra rounds. Mine is for the HKS 32 J loader that fits my 632 UC, so I used the larger plugs to raise the case heads up a bit. However, they have models to fit 5, 6, 7 and 8 shot models, for most 38/357 revolvers, as well as the J-frame 32's. Also, they advertise a model that replaces the singleton extra round holes with a second space for another speed loader, though that makes for a slightly larger, heavier packet.

I have only just started carrying mine, so I cannot speak to the longevity of this product, but so far it seems to work exactly as advertised.

I will say that the extra rounds are of only use in "tactical" reload scenario, pulling them out one at a time is a "good luck with that" sort of undertaking. However, the speedloader comes out pretty easily and reasonably swiftly.

A friend just got a Rossi model 518, a stainless 4" .22 rimfire. It is in really nice condition but it has a problem. The rear sight blade is broken. I've been looking for a blade or a complete sight assembly but keep coming up empty. Does anyone know where I might find the sight, or if a sight from another model may interchange? I may even try to repair the sight somehow for him.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

I assume it has the same barrel dimensions as the blued one, which left the forcing cone a little bit on the thin side. When I got my blued one, I decided to limit it to "Skeeter" loads (250 grains of lead at 900 fps) and to refrain from running "Keith" style loads in it.

My blued one also shot over a foot high at 25 yards. Ruger replaced the barrel and cylinder, it still shot high, so I wound up getting a new front sight from Dawson Precision. That fixed it.

I also found the slick wood grips to be too slippery for me, and had to put rubber grips on it.

I just checked Brownells and the reamer in $160 now, and I could probably buy a aftermarket barrel for that price.
Here is my question: I can buy a bullet sizer/punch combo for about $14 from Midsouth.
I dont have any molds and I doubt I will ever cast, but at least this would allow me to use my current inventory, with minimal effort and cost.
I know about absolutely nothing about casting but could this be a viable option?
Cannot afford a $160 dollar reamer for 2 barrels.
Looking to you all for your vast knowledge on what to do. If I did not have 5-10# of them this probably would not be an issue but I really enjoy the glock and the Rem R1, they are just plain fun to to pew pew with.

Hope everyone is doing well. I just joined the site yesterday. Thanks for having me.

I want to tap into the vast knowledge that is here (Yes, I have been looking around) I have been reloading for almost 30 years and still consider my self "Learning" - there is something new to this everyday. I joined in the hopes of gaining more knowledge in the field of cast boolits for hand guns. I primarily reload rifle, many calibers, many different boolits.

I have a friend that I have been going to the range with and he shoots primarily handguns, and at our club, long range rifle and .22 LR and pistol are separate ranges. He is new into reloading and I want to help him along as much as I can.

Several years ago, a friend gave me about 3-5k cast boolits for different calibers. I used my micrometer to measure the diameters and as far as I can tell, we have 9mm, .38/.357, .44 and .45. All are calibers I reload. Only cast boolits I ever reloaded were from LeadHeads and I bought 44 mag (Keith Black mold, if memory serves) 255 gr. They shoot well. He gave me the reloading recipe for that one.

With all that being said, here is where I am: All I know about these bullets was that they were made by a man that was an AVID caster and my friend said he was very good and knew his stuff. I think he has passed on, so I dont know what mold, brinell hardness or what OAL I should run any of these. All I have is weight and diameter. They are different shapes, grooves and different lengths. The lube ring on most of these appears to be in decent shape. They have been stored in ammo cans in my basement, sealed until a few days ago.

This is the part where I hope you all will impart some of your VAST knowledge on how to handle reloading these. He did cast some with gas checks on them but I want to get some of the others down range before I do anything else.

I have some different powders to use, just not sure, where to start.

Only problem I see is the rear of the trigger guard is bowed out, which may have been done ntentionally by someone with big fingers. Appears to be in good shape and not fired much. They are asking $659.00 but I know they would take less. What say you? Worth trying to make a deal on? That's the new CZ P-10C Ported COA model. Just wondering if anyone had shot cast powder coated through a ported barrel and if there were any issues like shaving or such. I've not had a ported handgun in decades, and when I did have a ported revolver way back in the day, I wasn't handloading, much less casting. I don't want to have a J-word queen...gotta be able to use my cheap and fun boolits, too.

I was at the range with my sister-in-law when the Buckmark 22 pistol ceased to function. The guide rod on the recoil spring was obviously bent. At home I disassembled it and found that the recoil buffer at the back of the spring was all but disintegrated, and there was red rubber dust everywhere. After a good cleaning of the internals, I ordered a replacement buffer from Numrich. I got the new improved version made of plastic rather than the OEM rubber one.

After much fighting to get the recoil spring back in place, I went back to the exploded diagram at Numrich. There I found that there is a "C" clip that holds the spring and guide rod together. After searching for a replacement in my drawers of salvaged fasteners, I finally admitted defeat and went to my go-to parts store and machine shop. You know its a good store when all the stock is jumbled together, but the owner knows where everything is. He had a clip small enough to work, so back to bench.

I still couldn't get it back together. It turns out the clip I bought was slightly bigger in diameter than the OEM, and the buffer was slightly thicker than the rubber one. I finally got out a round burr in my drill, and opened the hole in the buffer a few thousandths. Success!

A test fire with Remington and Aguila 22 LR showed that everything was working as it should, and the Buckmark was good for another twenty-two years.

With the original box. Looks like it hasn't been shot much. Problem: No model number.
It has Amadeo Rossi & C/A on the left side of the barrel with Sao Leopoldo R.S. underneath. Right side of the barrel has .38 Special.
Right side of the frame under the cylinder has: Made in Brazil, underneath is, Firearms Intr'l Corp, underneath this is Washington, D.C.,. Out to the front of this is the serial number 81318.
Around the Rossi stamped circle on the right side it has: Ind. Bras., at the top, and Mapc. Reg.,at the bottom.
On the cylinder crane the numbers 918 with a capital A underneath.
I pin gauged the cylinder throats they are a whopping .362 while the barrel lands pin .346.
I though it was an unmarked Model 68 and a friend thinks it is a Model 31.
All help will be greatly appreciated

I'm looking at picking up a revolver in 32 S&W L as well in the future. I have the Lee TL314-90-SWC and it casts nice bullets and drops them .314 - .315 which is what the throats on this gun measure. I've got some loaded in new Starline brass, but haven't gotten it to the range yet. Looking to get a +/- 100 SWC that has more cavities and am looking at two that Arsenal Molds sells.

The first is their copy of the RCBS 32-98-SWC https://arsenalmolds.com/products/32...47572557299971 I have read very good thing about this boolit.

The second looks to be more of a Keith type boolit https://arsenalmolds.com/products/32...47572560183555 . This one looks like it has more bearing surface and a shorter nose. Where the RCBS clone looks almost like a rnfp.
