I have spent the last 20 minutes using search to no avail.
If you don't know the right words you get nothing.
What I am looking for is a post we had here about making your own lube sticks with and without center hole.
Told about how to make the molds.
Does anyone know where to find it?
Please point me in the right direction!

Its a shot in the dark...http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=77040&highlight=making+lube+sticks

If I find a thread I like, I subscribe to it because if you can't remember exact details it might be gone forever, or at least might save you some time digging for it. As I have been told, the search feature is almost perfect here, the problem is probably with the user, not the with system.

There are some other threads which have multiple tubes in a wood base. Is that what you had in mind?

Thanks guys,
Now to go out in the garage and make a mess.
Oh well this mess or some other , isn't that what garages are for?

I saw a guy on youtube make a mold out of PVC pipe and an old big pen or something like that with a wood base I think. He was pouring molten lube into the stick mold in the video.

a 50 cc hypo body works fair albeit slow ( for experimental purposes anyways ) , i cut the end off then i stuck a chopstick in the middle of the plunger , the 60 cc one was a wee bit too fat , FWIW solid sticks are easier lolz but the melted lube poured into the sizer is the easiest and less labor intensive

I make solid sticks for my Start using 1" pvc, split in half & held together w/ rubber bands w/ a bit of alum foild over one end. Stand em on the bench, fill, separate after solid, done.

I also use PVC tubing, made a removable plug for one end, pour the tube full of lube, let it cool and push it out with a wood dowel ....If you need a hole in the center, drill the end plug, put a dowel or rod thru it, done deal.....Push em out and roll em up in wax paper.
Personally I like the idea of just heating up the mix and pouring it into the machine.
