LEE 18 Cavity Buckshot Mould

I noticed this the other day on LEE's website , now I just need some data for 12 and 15 pellet loads. Does anyone know where to look? I have Blanks to Supersonics, but all they have for is 2 3/4" with 9 00 pellets in 12 guage. I think the old Alliant manual had some loads for 12 pellet 00 in 3", but my manual got destroyed.

Loading for 3" should be no problem. I can't recall the weights without going to my load book, but if 9 pellets is 1-1/8 oz, I think 12 pellets should be ~1-1/2 oz.
I have made many an unusual load in shotgun hulls by using equivalent weight loads to the "normal" load contents.

The Lyman 4th shotshell and Hodgdon annual manual both have it. I didnt look anywhere else. My annual manual is about 6 years old tho.

I noticed that product on their web site too when I was taking a gander at the microscopw that comes with the hardness tester set that was mentioned in a post here just a day or two ago. The shot mold is sweet and with pure lead could give a handy source of soft barrel slugging balls; just in case thre is a shortage of Hornady lead balls . ;-)

I ordered one last night. looks good ~ should be better than there two cavity mould.
There is a strange snag ~ the part number is the same as there mould handles. (90005):shock:

OK, this one is a MUST. 00 Buck is a right fine counter-coyote load at close quarters. Cost savings on buckshot loads are astronomical.

That's my favorite size two. 4# buck is called SSG here in Australia ~ I find it best for pigs.

I'm with you, on the #4 buck mold. It's my favorite shot size when I use a shotgun on called coyotes. I usually keep it in the shotgun at the back door but I'm out of #4 buck shells right now.
Currently I'm trying to round up the equipment and supplies to start loading shotgun shells.
Does anyone make a #4 buck multi cavity mold?

Has anyone tried breaking apart the sprues? Curious how much trimming is required, as it LOOKS like they would twist apart by hand. Compared to the current buckshot molds, it appears there is literally no work to producing buckshot with these molds!

I can't wait until the #0 mold arrives because I like to use shotcup wads with my autoloader to prevent leading of the barrel. #00 is just a bit too thick for those loads.

I received my LEE 18 cavity bockshot mold last week. Works very nicely. Have fired them with22 blanks from a gamegetter type adapter from a Mosin.

I got one of those molds from Midway last week as well as a .319 lee 2cav rb and a .360 lee 2cav rb from Graf's. I then found ordered, and have received molds from Sharp Shooter USA in #00 buck ( Has no sprew cutter, comes with flush cutter with each 2 molds, can be used with hard alloys, unlike the lee) Also #4 buck .024, #3 buck .025, and #1 buck .030. These molds cast ten buck shot on each side for a total of 20 and are priced at 34.95 each with 5.00 shipping for up to 4 molds. I couldn't help myself on these 4, I was out of control when I realized what they were. He sells on ebay currently with email skiesunlimited@att.net.
