Hi all. I'm relatively new to the forum, and new to casting.
I'm looking at getting a mold to cast for 9mm for my glock 26. I am aware of the precautions for shooting cast in a glock from lurking around this site.

The mold I am looking at is the Lee 356-125-2R 125 gr RN. My question is does this bullet require you to seat deeper than RN bullets from other mold makers? Can anyone here who has used this mold and this bullet for reloading 9mm enlighten me? Thank you in advance.

Ive loaded TL356-124-2R into my G26 with a Lone Wolf barrel, no problems. Used suggested AOL out of my Lee reloading manual.

I'd bet most 9mm bullets will work fine in your G-26. The Glock is not a finicky feeder. That said, I have a couple favorites. Lyman 356402 is a long-tapered Truncated Nose. It's nose is a copy of one of the early German bullets used before WWI (designed for the Luger, if I remember correctly). Another great nose design is the Saeco #115, which is a copy of one of the old H&G designs which had a notation of "original German Army ogive." This is the bullet the Germans went away from to the 402 design. Both of them are VERY slick feeders in most 9mm pistols.

Use the gun barrel to check your seating depth. Book COL values are only meaningful so that
you don't seat deeper and get increased pressures, a serious issue with a tiny case like
9mm. Mag limits max along with the boolit hitting the rifling and preventing proper chambering.

I hope you understand that you will need a boolit about .357 or more to shoot well in
most 9mms.

I have the Lee TL356-124-2R and mine shoot fine out of my S&W9VE without having to resize them. I am loading with 3.8gr of Titegroup with a 1.125 COL give or take.

I really appreciate the answers. I will slug my barrell and see what size boolit I need. If it is .355 like the manufacturer says than I will go with the lee mold, but if it needs a .357 boolit can I just use a 38/357 mold in the wight and nose profile I want?

Yes. I'm doing that now.

Time to do some measuring.

That's a great mould. Not only does it work really well in 9mm applications, but if your mould is like mine and drops them a bit large (0.3575" to 0.3580"), they work great in .38 Spl as well. I would suggest a 50/50 lead/Lino mix for 9mm applications.
