I have found a pile of old vent pipe lead sheating at a roofers shop, what type of lead is this and what can it be used for in boolit casting?

That is prime round ball lead!!
Good stuff. Mix it with half WWs. That is a good pistol lead.

Thats the genuine blue/purple pure lead stuff.
Getting hard to come by these days.

Mine doesn't, he sells it to me. 900+ pounds I came home from work one day and there it was in the driveway. My wife told him I would want it.

There is a bead of 50/50 solder that holds the round and flat pieces together. I separate that before I melt the soft lead and add it to wheelweights to increase the tin content a little.
