I have a shelf queen H&G #51 38-160-SWCPB mold and have not used it in years. The mold is in excellent shape. It is an early Murphy, Oregon with the flat pivot screw. Also has the old style handles.
This mold is specificly for for 38 Special or K frame 357 as the nose is too long to fit the N frame cylinders. According to H&G the nominal weight in wheelweights is 160 grains. I obtained the mold in a trade over 25 years ago and do not remember actually casting with it. I am in the process of cleaning the mold and will fire up the pot and test it out with my alloy which should be close to 158 grains.
Would any one have an idea of it's value in trade or cash? I would be intrested in trading for an eight cavity H&G #34 BB or #292 BB.
